MVMCP fireworks at TOTWL

Wondering if the MVMCP fireworks are special/different enough to warrant a trip over to the TOTWL on our arrival day. We are not going into any parks, but this might be a fun evening thing to do.

What's it like--is it like Wishes, or completely different? What time are the fireworks during MVMCP?

It is completely different and there are several times when fireworks are shot off all the way around the outside of the park. I think it's worth a trip to the TOTWL to see them.

I believe they are at 9:30 on party nights.

I also agree. The fireworks are awesome from TOTWL and the Christmas ones are really special and great. You can also see the castle changing colors from there. Don't plan on driving there if you have a car because you won't be allowed to park in the Contemporary or Bay Lake lots. If you are coming from another Disney resort, just take the bus to the MK and walk over (less than 10 minutes).

We just did this for the MNSSHP fireworks since we didn't go to the party this year. It was well worth the bus trip over there. They shoot off the 360-degree fireworks for MNSSHP as well and it was amazing to see it from TOWL. Afterwards we had a drink and some appetizers in the lounge. It made for a very nice evening!

Is the lounge still open to all guests as long as you're members staying at a DVC property? We will be at VGF.

No, members can be staying at any WDW property. If you are not a member, you need to show a member card or be staying with the member on their reservation.

Yes the lounge is open to DVC members staying on property, at least until Dec 30, 2014. Bring your DVC member card and KTTW card. There are some blackout dates (New Years Eve and July 4th, there may be others as well) when TOWL is restricted to DVC members staying at BLT.
