MVMCP - do they kick you out?

We will be at MK on a MVMCP day. Now, we don't have tickets and of course we have no plans or interest to stay at MK beyond 6 pm (we have ADRs at Concourse at 6:30), so no flaming please!

But I am curious - how do they control this? Do the CMs wander around near 6 telling you it's time to leave if you don't have a wristband? Do they make announcements? Do they drag the reluctant stragglers, kicking and screaming, to the exit? :rotfl:

Well, at the Halloween Party, they start to corral everyone with a wristband into one land, and corral everyone else toward the exits. They blocked off the entrances to all the lands except for adventure land and won't let anyone in unless they had a wristband. They even closed the shops until the official start of the party.

Yeah, they're a bit more strict about the parties than they are the e-ticket, extra magic hours thing. They just shut everything down until the party starts. I have to say that the parties are worth it, if you don't mind immense crowds. ;)

We are attending our very first MVMCP this year and we all say, "Bring on the immense crowds" from our understanding the cost and crowds are worth your very first experience and we can hardly wait to spring it on the kids. They have no idea that we got tickets and the surprise is going to be the best.

I don't understand the "immense crowds" comments. We went to MVMCP in 2003 and it wasn't crowded at all. The only lines were for the "free photo" and we didn't bother with that. We didn't wait for any rides, we saw the shows and it was a wonderful night. We felt like we had Magic Kingdom all to ourselves. I can't wait for this year.

I agree we have gone in 2003 and 2004 and did not have to wait in line for the rides or the shows. Last year we did not even have to wait much about 10 min for our picture. We are going for the 3rd time this year and hope to have the same luck. We always go on a Sunday and there seems to be less of a crowd

Somebody who thinks crowds at MVMCP or MNSSHP are immense probably haven't been to the parks in July or a holiday weekend.

I was at MNSSHP on a sold out night and walked on all the Mountains, Peter Pan, Pooh, POC and HM. We also got our free photo later in the evening with no wait.

Longest wait was 15 minutes for Buzz.

Did I mention we had great veiwing for the parade and Hollowishes?

My advice, arrive at 4 they will let you in give you a wristband, and you'll have a jump on seeing everything.

They have this long rope made of magic tinsel and it has the powers to grab people who have not paid for the party and drag them out of the park. :rotfl:

The size of crowds also depends on the day you go to the party. There are some dates that are sold out and everything is hard to get into. But on the day before, there might be half as many people.

Then those who go during the busy seasons all the time might not think the crowds are that bad whereas a person who goes during the slow times would think the same crowd is just way too much.

That's right. Cattle prods and fire hoses for the stragglers. :earboy2:

We've not had problems with crowds the last couple years, except when there are supposed to be crowds. If you want to watch the parade from Main Street, or the fireworks from the castle forecourt, expect crowds! But we've done a lot of walk-on rides at MVMCP.

You will absolutely love the event Susan. My wife and i attended our first MVMCP in 2003 and i have to say we left there awe-struck. It was the most wonderful experience we ever had. On top of that you get to take a free photo that is sent to you at no cost. :goodvibes

I've seen people at the parties sans wristbands, but who were turned away as they tried to ride the attractions. The CM's check for wristbands as you enter the rides.

So I guess if you can figure out a way not to get corraled out, and you are only there for the atmosphere and entertainment, you might be ok.

It has occurred to me that I would not want to go to MK during the day of a MVMCP or MNSSHP night because I would be annoyed by CM's pushing me out the door. I prefer a leisurely shop on my way out.

Have a magical day!
