MVMCP - Do People Dress Up?

They might dress up in Christmas-themed outfits (especially Santa Mickey hats), but not in costumes.

I think it's nice to wear red or green shirts for your pictures (or some other Christmas like attire), but I don't consider that dressed up.

One of my goals after our summer Aulani vacation will be to put something festive together for my family for MVMCP on our November trip! We'll be spending most of the day at Universal, though, so it'l have to be something easy to change into.

We are doing the Christmas Party this year and I am planning for DH and I go to in Christmas themed shirts/hats so that we can hopefully get some really good pictures for our Christmas Cards.

Many wear Christmas themed tee shirts and hats/headbands or red and green clothes, but I've only seen a handful of adults in costume - mainly Mrs Claus and elves.

As far as better - we prefer the MNSSHP far more than the MVMCP.

we went last December, early (like around the 8th or so)

There were a lot of families with matching red or green t-shirts....some little girls in candy-cane fabric dresses...lots of Christmas lights lite-up necklaces, lots of Christmas head bands with reindeer antlers or Mickey Christmas ears.

Actual Christmas costumes or really dressy outfits...no. You could tell people who were dressing for photos...but it was Christmas-themed park casual clothes.

As for preferences on parties...we actually really enjoyed them both. They are 2 completely different experiences. Both parades are fabulous...as are the fireworks. I think the Halloween party had more going on...but we loved the Christmas atmosphere and the castmembers in Christmas outfits, the music, etc. It was fun.

Dress up as what? I have never heard of people dressing up for Christmas?

Do you mean elves, Santa, Mrs Clause and Reindeer? I don't think Disney would allow that as they could be confused with meet and greet characters.

A lot of people will wear Mickey Santa Hats or Ears, but I've never seen people dress up at MVMCP like they do at MNSSHP.

Do you mean adults or children? The regular dress code is still in place for MVMCP while adults are allowed to wear costumes for MNSSHP.
