MVMCP December 16 DISer Meet and Greet!

Hey everyone!
It's about that time....
We are trying to get everyone to come to a meet and greet for fellow DISer's sometime during the MVMCP on December 16th! We don't want to take time away from family and friends, just long enough to say a quick hello!

How many of you plan to be in the park by 4PM?
Does anyone have a suggestion for a meeting place?

If you are interested please post and I will start a list and update as much as I can! Come join the fun!

We should be in the park by 4. We have dinner ressies at the Liberty Tree Tavern at 5:15. It's been 4 years since we were at the world. Should we all meet somewhere to watch the second parade?

Will be at MVMCP on 16th and going in at 4:00.Maybe we could meet around 6:00 pm in front of Casey's on Main Street.Just my Idea I would be open to other times and locations. Danny

I'm in, too. We will be there by 4, hopefully sooner. We have lunch in Epcot; but, since that is my boys favorite park, I may have trouble dragging them out of there.

Hey everyone!
Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving yesterday. We were saddened to find out this morning that a district employee had a heart attack and fell out of his deer stand early Thanksgiving morning. He was a friend and the "PaPa" to one of my 4 year olds this year! All of the children in my class called him "PaPa" too because we say him all the time. He will be sorely missed!

I asked my TA about good places to meet everyone and she suggested these:
A nice meeting place that is large and open is the Tomorrowland Terrace where the Noodle Factory restaurant is. You may also want to consider meeting in front of the train station steps at the front of the park. Both places is a place where everyone can find.

I hope we have more join! Spread the word!

Not sure what the crowd would be like. It is the second parade which is supposed to be less crowded.
I have never been to MVMCP before isn't the snow on Main Street during the parade? I would hate to miss that.

Instead of meeting before the parade we could do one of the following.

Holiday Wishes Fireworks - 9:30 - I think it is going to be packed everywhere so meeting up could be difficult

A totally TOmorrowland Christmas Show at Rockettower Plaza Stage - 7:45, 8:45, 9:55, 10:50, ands 11:45 - Not sure how crowded this gets. would the first one work for everyone?

Celebrate the season show Castle Forecourt Stage - 7:45, 10:05 & 11:20 - I imagine this show gets very crowded and would be difficult to find each other.

We could always pick one of the Character Dance Parties. Looking at the map, they don't seem to have specific times and may work best.

If anyone has been to a MVMCP before they may know what works best.

I think that's the problem-so far no one has been before for MVMCP or it's been a few years since they've been!

Must have missed this one before. Sorry to hear about PaPa. At least he was doing something he enjoyed at the time.

I like the idea of the train station steps. Maybe around 7:00 The party would just be starting, and hey, we can always walk around together if we have similar plans.

I know my plans at the beginning will be to get as many character pics as I can. When we were there in '08, we saw the Christmas show on the castle stage, but missed the Tomorrowland show so we definitely want to do that one. The later one would probably work for us. One of the dance parties might be fun to meet up at. I would suggest trading cell number to text locations and meet up at some point. I also use Foursquare and Gowalla and will definitely be updating my locations to make all of my friends at home jealous. If you use them, my user name is prmamidedos (same as here).

Great thinking everyone!
As we get closer to time(boy, is it coming up fast!) we can possibly choose several locations and times so that everyone will be able to catch up with a few DISERS no matter what the time or place. I'm not sure what we will do first-waiting on TGM to update MVMCP information. I know we will want to meet lots of characters too-at least those we don't see often or not at all like the seven dwarfs! We plan on staying and watching the second parade instead of the first-hopefully a lot of people will leave after the first parade!

I like the idea of meeting at one of the dance parties. I've never been to MVMCP before and I know there are two locations; which dance party is best? What time do you think would be best to meet up?
