MVMCP...can we switch dates after ticket purchase??

I purchased our MVMCP tickets well in advance (probably a mistake) and now I'm considering switching our plans from 4 nights in WDW to the 3-day cruise instead but unfortunately the night I bought our tickets for is the Thursday we would have to be on the ship. DD13 and I would still love to go to MVMCP the following Monday but would Disney allow us to switch dates?? I'm assuming I'm out of luck but I figured I would check here for some advice first. Of course, changing our plans also depends on whether SW comes out with some DINGS for late Nov soon so I can move our flights by a day or two without having to pay the current $135 fares (I got $59 fares when I booked).

From everything I have read, once you buy the MVMCP tix, they are yours. No changing except for dire circumstances.

I called a couple of weeks ago to change my 11/17 MVMCP tickets and they said "No Problem". I just had to mail back my old ones and they would be more than happy to exchange them as long as there was availablity.

That's what I was hoping for, I can understand not getting refunded if we cancel our plans altogether but if we do the cruise we would still want to go to MVMCP, just on a different date.

I also bet they will exchange them for you. I was able to exchange my MNSSHP party tickets with out any problem.
