I need help...
The unbelievable just happened, my BF, the man who was not excited to go to Disney in the first place (we just got home on the 3rd) just suggested that we go for a weekend trip in Dec. to see the decorations. Short is better than none, so I am all for it. But, MVMCP is going on the night that we would arrive. I would love to see all the special things for that night, but we don't have kids. Would it be weird for us to go, just the two of us? Is it worth the price of the ticket. And when do tickets go on sale????

Thanks!

My mother and I went last year and we both loved the shows, and the parade is great. Even my son who was 21 when we went in 2002 had a good time at MVMCP.
It is nice that time of year to be in MK late at night, you can ride on the attractions, see the parade, enjoy the special showing of wishes and see the shows that you think you will like.
I am going again this December with my husband (his first WDW trip ever) and I would not want to miss MVMCP. It is not just for kids!
To me it is well worth the cost. Tickets are on sale now, you can buy them by calling Disney or ordering them on line.

My kids aren't little anymore & it is more enjoyable now! Yes, you will like it & it is worth the money. My (then) 17yr & her boyfriend are coming with me this year (as well as my youngest that will be 13). My (then) 19yr old & his sort of girlfriend (20) are considering going as well. So ...it isn't just for little kids. I know CM's that are married couples that go as well.

My husband & I have been going to MVMCP by ourselves since 2003 and love it! Our sons (ages 20 & 15) don't really like Disney, so we don't have a problem going without them and enjoy the time we have going through the parks doing what we want. My DH is a Christmas fanatic and LOVES seeing all the decorations and just taking in the holiday atmosphere...I guess he's just a kid at heart (as am I!).

Take him up on his offer and ENJOY!!!

My best friend and I did a chick trip last Nov/Dec and went to MVMCP we are 52 and 42 years old. We danced and laughed with all the kids. It was a blast.

Go...have fun!!!

DH and I (no kids) have been twice, and will probably go again this year. We don't go to many of the shows, but that is just personal preference, and not because we'd feel out of place. It's a fun night--epecially the parade and fireworks.

DH and I have done MVMCP for the last two years. Our children our 20 and 26, so that "dates" us as to about our age. The first year was wonderful and we did few shows and more rides, the second year was a little more crowded so we did very few rides and more shows. And of course there's the parade and special Wishes.

We even go to MNSSHP with our little bags and get candy at each of the candy stations. Lots of adults do it. We had a little ourselves, but gave the rest and the bags to our little niece and nephew.

My only recommendation would be to be there early, like around 4 or 5 and in the park when it closes. The first year we were there at 4 and ate at the Plaza Restaurant, like an early dinner. We started doing the busy rides in Tomorrowland during the 6:00 "transition", when the day people go, and we were able to do the Tomorrowland rides before the rest of the park re-opened for the party. Then we headed to Splash and also did a couple of the more popular ones right away when they opened the whole park at 7. I think that's why we got more rides in.

The second year, we ate at the Grand Floridian Cafe around 5:30 and got to the park around 7, we really didn't get allot of rides in at all.

Not to put any thoughts in your head :rolleyes1 , but my then bf actually proposed to me the night we went to MVMCP in December 2003. It was the perfect place and time, and it was just the two of us. It was actually quite romantic. Snow falling on mainstreet, the castle lit up with snowflakes, cookies and hot cocoa, and snuggling with the one you love during wishes (it was chilly that night). Oh, and as he likes to tell it, "we got engaged and didn't have to wait in line for any of the rides afterwards"

So I say definitely go!

Well I was hoping that that would happen a couple of weeks ago while we were there, but it didn't :(. I think that that would be the ULTIMATE proposal. We have been together almost 5 years and I think it may possibly be coming sometime soon. We would like to get married next year, but he hasn't asked yet. I can't imagine him waiting until December. But hey who knows....He did say that his favorite part about our trip was watching me watch Wishes...so that would be awesome. Everyone should be wishing for me...

dh and I (mid 30s) went a few years ago and enjoyed. it was more crowded then we thought it would be but still fun (not like Sat crowded, but not limited tickets crowded). because parks close earlier this time of year we just thought of it as more time in the parks. didn't even take advantage of most of the shows other than the parade.

go and enjoy!

My fiance and I did it last year and LOVED it! Do it and enjoy!!

All I can tell you is that we had been dating for 5 1/2 years at the time, and to have that proposal was well worth the wait. He actually did it next to the castle in the rose garden. I think the only down side of it being just the two of us on that trip was that I had to wait 5 days until we got home to show anybody my ring. Ok, so I did show everyone that was working at/visiting Disney World that week  , but my family and friends had to wait.

Best of luck, and you will have to give us an update if it happens!

We are in our 30's and have no kids and loved MVMCP twice in 2003. We loved the first night more than the second....mostly because the first night was our first night at WDW. MVMCP is a great way to maximize the pixie dust on arrival day without breaking the bank. We plan on doing it again this year on arrival day too. So, go for it! Maggie

I say it's definitely worth going to w/o kids. I went last year for the 1st time with my DH and just watching the parade was worth the price! We stood with several other "couples only" and didn't feel out of place. One of the reindeer in the parade even came over and shook my hand. That made my day!
