MVMCP Best Strategy for Attractions

I am going to be going to MVMCP on December 2 for the first time! My main focus will be doing attractions, viewing the fireworks, and the parade. We do not care about the special shows or character meet and greets.

With that in mind, should I watch the first parade and fireworks, then do rides (we are getting there at 4pm) or would it be best to ride rides during the first parade and then watch fireworks and the second parade?

My gut tells me to ride attractions during the first parade, but was just curious in what you guys thought!

I would do rides ( and you can book FP with your park ticket up to 6;30) then watch the fire works then the second parade if you watch the first one you will have to get there an hour early the second one you can show up 10 minutes before

Definitely watch the 2nd parade. It's less crowded so you won't have to waste as much time getting a spot. We watched the 2nd parade in Frontier land last year and did rides during the first. We walked on most rides.

Nice thing about the party is after 7 the crowd level goes way down. You will be able to ride most things with very little wait. We are commando tourers on a normal day, but we take the party to relax and enjoy and just go with the flow!

It is always easier to get a good spot with a shorter wait for the 2nd parade at both MVMCP and MNSSHP. More than once we have parked ourselves in a great spot just 10 or 15 minutes before the 2nd parade started.

If we see the second parade how soon do we need to find a first row spot on main street?
