MVMCP a tip or two

Midnight is my kind of party, haha...

Well, depends how hungry you are and how busy MK is! I'd definitely eat at B&C if it was up to me! ;) You can get some counter service later at MK (the party's does go till midnight! LOL!)

We are going Dec 4th to MVMCP with no children. We have ressies at Crystal Palace for Character Breakfast at 9:20. We are several adults going. We were going to have breakfast, ride all the rides we wanted and take our time for the party to start that afternoon. So that way we would just enjoy the festivities. We will probably leave earlier, before the big crowd leaves. Is this a bad plan.?:confused3 I see where everyone isn't coming until later but I'm assuming that is because of small children and letting them rest during the day for the big night. Let me know what you think. Thanks.

That day has MK EMH. Make sure you get there before rope drop or you won't get to ride many rides that day!!!

Last year there were lids on the hot cocoa cups. I don't know why it would matter if you brought the other cups to use, if you wanted. We didn't walk around with ours. We grabbed our hot cocoa and found a seat to watch the fireworks. :cloud9:

Thanks for the info! If they've got lids, then we'll leave our mugs at home. Thanks again!!!

I just got done reading this whole thread- it's awesome! We're going to MVMCP on 11/20 (next Thurs!) for the first time! I can't wait! Thanks for everyone's tips :thumbsup2 - I definetely have some planning to do for that night!

We are going on the 9th as well.

We are going to Epcot on Monday. That will be our only other park day. DH says he hates all things Disney, but I have to believe he will feel different when he sees how much DD4 loves it.

I'll be there the 20th as well. And I'm waiting patiently for news too.

To add a little tip, if at all possible, don't wait until the last Celebrate the Season show of the night. I have been to 6 parties, and the last show has been cancelled two of those times due to condensation on the stage. Unfortunately, I waited until the last show both times and was not able to see it.

The Celebrate the Season show was right on schedule last night at the party... no cancelations here

i have ADRs for Whispering Canyon Cafe at 5:40 the night we're going to the party (which was the earliest ressie i could get anywhere at or near MK for this hastily arranged trip), but after reading this thread i'm thinking of just doing counter-service. i don't think i want to miss the castle-lighting ceremony or any other party events. we're staying at the YC and arriving that day as well. maybe we should just hit Beaches & Cream at 3:30 and then head on over? or maybe just head to WL early and eat counter service at Roarking Fork (is this actual counter service or pre-packaged foods like you would get at a convenience store?)? we've never been to WL before and wanted to see it (i head it's one of the best resorts in terms of holiday decorations. plus, i just booked it for a trip next may, this time with kids!), and this might be my only chance to go there for this trip. thoughts?

We had 5:45 ressi's at LTT and we canceled them. I am SOOOO glad I did. We got there at 5pm and we would have missed so much. Just do counter service. If you can get a table at Casey's and watch the parade that would be good..

Wasn't the first party last night? Did anyone get a schedule of events?

Castle Lighting 6:30pm
Wishes 9:30pm
Parade 8:15pm & 10:30pm
Twas the Night b4 Xmas 7, 8, 9, 10:15 & 11:15
Celebrate the Season 7:45, 10:05 & 11:20
Belle's Enchanted Christmas 7:15, 8:10, 10, 11:15

Sorry if this has already been asked- Would two adults like the Belle's Enchanted Christmas ? Is this something that we should set aside time for during the party or is this more for the little ones? We are definitely planning to see Twas the night before Christmas and the Celebrate the Season, but I wasn't sure if this is something we should schedule in.

Thanks for all the tips everyone!

I think it's more for the little ones. It's not a big show like the other two. It requires a couple of child volunteers from the audience and is in an intimate setting.

If you have time, great, if not, I'd say skip it.

You have the Castle Lighting down as 6:30 - is this a change? I thought it was 5:45.

Anybody know about character sightings??

How long will a dinner at LTT take? We have 5:35 ADRs before our party...too close, should we cancel?

So excited that the parties have started!!!
