Question to those who have been to MVMCP in the past: How hard is it to meet the princesses/princes? Does it usually have a long wait? Because when I'm there, I'd like to see the Seven Dwarves, but I'd also like to see some of the princes that you usually can't see. Am I being too ambitious? Obviously with the way the dwarves are, that's something to do right away, but if I do that, would it be too late to see the princesses too? I don't want to be spending the whole night in line to meet just a few characters.
Thank you for your reply. That's a good point that it will be different this year with Toontown closed. I hadn't thought of that. It's really irritating that they switch out pairs in the theatre, and it's completely unfair that they let non-party guests into the line and that they get to see the party characters! It doesn't matter how it was in the past. All bets are off this year since Toontown is closed and they are in Town Square Theater. In prior years, there were 4 pairs, with Snow/Prince swapping off with Belle/Beast. There was no set rotation. You just got who you got. Drove me nuts.
This year Rapunzel/Flynn are in the mix and VERY popular.
Combine that with reports that they never got line management under control for this same deal during MNSSHP. They were letting day guests enter the line up until 7 PM. Once 7 PM hit, the party characters came out and day guests were getting to see the party characters before the party guests. The worst report I saw of this was a guest who got in line before 7 in anticipation of the party and didn't finish up until 8:30.
I actually wrote to guest relations yesterday to see if they have done anything to address this issue but have not heard back yet.
There is speculation that maybe Snow White will be over with the Dwarves this year, leaving them with 4 princess pair in the Town Square Theater. I hope they move someone out to Fairytale Garden (maybe Belle/Beast????) so there is no unknown when you enter and commit the time to that line.

Anyway, I think I may have to pick and choose which ones I want to see the most. It would be nice if they took Belle/Beast out of Town Square Theatre, because the two of them would high up on my list of who I'd want to see. Cinderella and Prince Charming as well. I've already seen Rapunzel and Flynn, so they're not a must-see. By the way, who's the last pair that might be in there, if they put Snow with the Dwarves? Aurora and Prince Phillip?
It'll be interesting to start hearing things back once the parties start on Tuesday. I can't wait to get a definitive list of characters and locations.
This is what I'm imagining based on MNSSHP and the information from DIS yesterday:
1. I think Rapunzel, Belle and Cinderella will be in the Theater with their fellas.
2. Snow White will be with the Dwarves. No Snow Prince.
3. Aurora and Phillip at Fairytale Garden.
This is just speculation and, other than missing the Snow Prince, it would give us the opportunity to see all the princesses.
Edit: I also think it would be pretty cool to the see her with the dwarves.

We did enjoy having SW with the little guys at MNSSHP in 09:
I also think that's how the locations will turn out. And after playing Princess roulette last year, I'll be quite happy with it........ with one big "if". That is if they do a better job of ending the regular hours line so the party line can actually start at 7.
They don't seem to have given us too many new characters this year. So would fixing the pricess line be asking too much?
I agree with them needing to fix the line situation with the princesses when the party starts. When I read that, I was shouting out "No, no, no, no, no" like that cat on You Tube. Let us know if you hear anything from Disney about how they might be handling the situation.
You know it just occurred to me the whole princess lineup will have another effect on party schedules. If they put Snow White out with the dwarves, she won't be able to be out continuously all night. She will have to take breaks. That's could really slow that line down. Or maybe they'll have the dwarves out continuously (with very short breaks) and SW out for 30 minutes every hour. Hmmmm...... gonna be interesting.
When we went to the Dec. 16th party last year, the dwarfs disappeared for about ten minutes and then came back out. They took a break during the fireworks but then came back out. They took a short break just after we left but we walked by five minutes later and they were bringing them back out.
What a mass of humanity! We were there on the 16th last year too! What a mass of humanity!
The problem is introducing a face character. Dwarfs can magically come back after a few minutes. The face characters get longer off between sets if I'm not mistaken.
I didn't think it was that bad but, then again, it was definitely better than Dec. 22nd!
No doubt!
We started that night in Toontown around 6. We started the princess line in Toontown but ended up waiting for a while since we were hunting Belle/Beast and they weren't in the room when we got back there. We spent a little time in Toontown saying goodbye to Mickey and Minnie's houses. We also took a few spins on the Barnstormer. It was SO quiet over in Toontown. Our other goal for the night was to find Jasmine and Prince Ali. Oh MY! Crossing the park was a MESS. The parade was running and there was no way to Adventureland. Main Street was where that solid mass of humanity was. So we backtracked behind the castle through LIberty Square where we got hung up after the parade, unable to move for a while. Still, it was a great night and I obviously didn't regret it enough to keep me away this year!
