MVMCP 2011 Thread

We are going on Dec 9th (Friday) which I know is not a good night but we are going just for 4 days to celebrate dd's 12th b-day (Dec 8) and that is the only night we have. It may be really busy but we will make the best of it as we have never been.

We are going Dec. 18 with our 2 children (4 and 10) - was/am very excited, but really starting to question the decision after reading some other posts about it and the crowds.

You will still have a blast! We went twice last year. The second time was the last night...19th I think. Yes, it was considerably busier, but there were still walk-ons for rides and I think Dumbo and POTC were the longest waits...maybe 20 minutes tops. My kids were 4 and 9 and we stayed until midnight...the later you can stay, the less crowded it will be. I know people always say not to waste your park time with a table-service meal during the party, but we found it helpful to go on a few rides, then have a nice dinner (we did LTT), finish up right as the parade was starting, and then do rides. Even with dinner and the parade we still had over 4 hours for rides and characters. Have fun and don't worry about the crowds...just enjoy the atmosphere

We'll be there too! I wouldn't be surprised if it sold out, but not too worried about it either way-- we aren't making rides a huge priority and really just want to soak up the festive atmosphere. Hopefully we'll both enjoy it!

We are planning for Dec 4th, our 1st MVMCP!! It'll be DH, DD2 and DD4months. Will wait until a week or so out to buy the tickets, if we get a really crazy cold snap (like last year) we'll probably opt out and do some resort hopping instead, but DD2 is DYING to dance with Bullseye!

Question for those who have been, how are the cookies and hot chocolate? Are the cookies hard or soft? Is the hot chocolate like Swiss Miss? I know not to expect too much, but just a little heads up would be great!!

In past years, the cookies have been frosted / sprinkled sugar cookies and the hot chocolate comparable to Swiss Miss. At least it keeps one warm on a chilly night. The lines for cookies & hot chocolate have not been that long.

I'll be there on Dec 4, 6, and 7th.

Got my tix for Dec. 2nd!!! It's mine and DH's 3rd year in a row, but we will also have dd, ds, db and dsil with us. It's their 2nd time going. LOVE IT!!!
