Hi. My family and I will be going to WDW this July. We are a family of 5 ,4 adults and a 16 year old. We will have the three day hopper pass. We will be in MK and Epcot the first day,,with Hs and AK the second Day. The 3rd day will mostly consist of DTD, but will have park admission for things we want to revisit or didn't get to do. Which restaurants are a must for first time visitors? Which times are best to book for both lunch and dinner? We don't want to miss the fireworks. We will eat breakfast at our resort, but might be nice to have one breakfast at GF either day 1 or 3. What are your thoughts on 1900 Fare Park?

Here are my reservations so far:
1st day: Lunch:Be our Guest 12:15
Dinner: Open
2nd day: Lunch: Open
Dinner: Teppan Edo 7:30
3rd day: Lunch: Open ( would like wolf Gang Puck, but open to suggestions)
Dinner: Planet Hollywood 8:15

Thank you!

Of the places in Epcot, Via Napoli and San Angel Inn (the one in the big temple) are our favorites. For MK I think you hit the nail on the head with sit-down restaurants. CRT is really good but is also pricey; however, for first time visitors that may be something you want to experience. MK has a bunch of good Quick Service places though. We love 'Ohana which is right outside MK if you take the monorail over to the Polynesian. In HS, our favorites are Sci-Fi, Mama Melrose's, and 50s Prime Time. If you don't do breakfast at the resorts I would suggest Kona Cafe in the Polynesian or Boma in AKL. You can't really go wrong with anything on Disney property though!

As for booking times, it's really whatever time you want to have those meals and what times are still available to book. If you're not wanting to miss the fireworks/shows at any of the parks, 7:30 is probably a good time for dinner. Since you're a party of 5 you don't want to be rushed.

Hope that helped (a bit) haha

MK also has Crystal Palace, Tony's Town Square, and the Plaza. We've been to the last two and think they are good if you want a quick sit-down meal (and a little less pricey). We haven't been to Crystal Palace, but hear it's pretty good for breakfast.

I think you definitely need a character meal in there if it's your first time going to WDW :)

1900 Park Fare is definitely my favorite restaurant on property so I reccommend it to you. The food is great and the characters are unique. If I can make suggestions for other character meals- Crystal Palace (MK) and Ohana's breakfast (Polynesian Resort) are awesome, too. And if you don't do the character breakfast at Ohana's, the dinner is awesome too. For lunch at HS, you can't beat 50's Prime Time Cafe.

Is there a specific reason you are spending so much time on DTD? I have not been to Disney in years and trying to do Epcot and MK together in one day sounds overwhelming. Since you have three day park hoppers I would consider spreading that out a bit more.

I do remember liking Sci-Fi for the atmosphere.

Chef Mickey's. Even your 16 y/o will love it. Food is great for a buffet, the most iconic Disney characters are there. It is easy to get to from the MK. Book it if it is available.

I agree with this. I would spend one day in MK and one in Epcot. The other day I would start in AK and hop to DHS. For dining I would try BOG at MK. For DHS I would do 50's PT or Sci-Fi.
