okeydokey, some background info:
my chem teacher is in love with reality shows, especially Survivor. so she wrote all the names of the people in survivor down on slips of paper and had each person in the class pick one. i picked brandon. she said the people that picked the last three survivors left on the show at the end would get extra credit points.

okay, now the story: lots of my friends bet that brandon, my person, would win. so i watched the show every thursday at 7 ( i had never seen survivor before; i'm not much of a reality tv person). all of the sudden, this past episode, BOOM! brandon is voted off for no apparent reason. *sigh* i'm so upset, no extra credit. and i could've used it. oh well.

Isn't extra credit supposed to be something you get for going beyond what the teacher asked of you?

And shes giving it away at random?

Extra Crdit is supposed to be about something you are learning about in school and doing MORE than that (like do a poster or a model), but THIS? What does survivor have to do anything about chem?! I think that is a totally unfair "extra credit"

^ yeah, that's what e.c. is supposed to be, something academic, not based on random things.

Yeah....that's an um..."interesting" version of "extra credit" Maybe talk to your teacher and rationally explain why you either think A) Everyone should get extra credit (although that doesn't really make it "extra...) B) No E.C. should be given to any one at all, or C) If she is going to waste time offering random extra credit, she should give opportunities for REAL extra credit more frequently.

Now maybe I way over analyzed that, but that's what I would do.

Extra Credit should be EARNED not GUESSED
