What you are faves?
We're staying at Park Vue Inn and will have a car.

We're from Hawaii and do not have an In and Out, El Pollo, Panera, or a lot of places you all have.

Suggestions?

In-N-Out for sure, if you are looking for a fast food burger. Since it's a Southern California thing and you're not from here, you'll have to try it at least once. :) There should be one within a 10 minute drive of your lodging.

There are two in n outs near Disneyland. Definitely try there at least once. I personally like the plaza inn food inside the park. Fried chicken. There's a Cheesecake Factory not far away on Katella.

Los Sanchez, Mrs. Knott's Fried chicken. There are TONS of good places by the beaches.

Los Chilangos for Mexico City style Mexican food, The Original Pancake House on Lincoln, Ruby's on Lincoln (our kids love it), Jaegerhaus on Ball for German food, El Gaucho Argentinian Market on State College for skirt steak sandwiches, OC Rotisserie Chicken on Ball for Vietnamese sandwiches.

So, how far is that Cheesecake Factory from say the Tropicana motel? Is it close enough that we could walk easily? Or rather, one of us walk and me on the ecv? I have a gc for there, might be okay to go there. Is it really good there?

I found and In N Out about I think, North on Harbor. Is that close enough to do the same, ecv/walk there, or at least back to the motel? May have an Uber ride there.

Heard of the Crab pot by newport? how is that if so?

According to Google, your lodging is about a mile from Cheesecake Factory and 3 miles from the In N Out. Cheesecake Factory is known for their cheesecakes, obviously, and the food is good. If you don't have one where you live and since you have a gift card, I'd say go for it.

It's good but we like the Crab Cooker in Newport better. For really really good crab, head the other way, about 15 minutes from Disneyland, no freeways, and go to The Original Fish Co in Los Alimitos. Close to that is Super Mex in Cypress, about 10 minutes away, straight down Katella.

Yes you could easily walk to the Cheesecake Factory. If you don't have a Cheesecake Factory at home and decide to go there, portion sizes are HUGE. So try to split any pasta dish or even some of the other dishes. I personally like the chicken Madeira. The cheesecake is good but you can get all of it to go.

Thanks for checking that, glad I remembered we had a gc, we just don't get into the suburbs too much anymore to get to a Cheesecake factory here(have been once), and this will save a bit of money, too!

Checked it out, sounds yummy, though the crab is expensive, lol, but gonna keep this place in mind for our go to Newport Beach day when we are short a park ticket, lol. Will keep this restaurant info for this or future, trips! Thank you!

That's great that it's so close! I've been to one once, DD25's been a few times I think. Thanks for that heads up! Good idea to split a pasta dish! But, I won't my own cheesecake, lol! Thank you, Ndusmama!

I don't think Panera is going out of your way for, it's overpriced small sandwiches, salads and soups. I eat at Panera, don't get me wrong, but it's just meh in my opinion. I do go for the iced tea though.

If you are staying on Harbor Blvd I recommend Pizza Press, super yummy, quick, inexpensive pizzas! You can choose all the toppings you want! And craft beer if you're into that!

There's a really great Italian restaurant in the area called Carolina's. We went there a few years back and loved it. It's an authentic Italian place so the portions are big (we had leftovers for the next 2 days). http://carolinasitalianrestaurant.c...a-adventure-anaheim-resort-hondda-center.html
Also, if you don't have any in Hawaii, there's Johnny Rocket's at the Gardenwalk and FatBurger in Buena Park; about 7.5 miles from the park.
