Must share a laugh (FP+)

How can you even select tomorrow or the following day when your trip is so far out still? ...and it looks like you booked a package staying on site?

Nope, no package. We have DVC, so tickets are separate which means you are always within the 30-day window.

I have to admit that the availability of Fast Passes even 30 days out in peak summer season was impressive.

Just for fun I tried to make some Fast Passes for July 11th (I have no expiration tickets so can make Fast Passes any time up to 30 days out) and I was able to find times for all the popular rides before noon (SDMT, Peter Pan, etc. etc.).
I feel like I should have no problems making my reservations for August when the 60 day window comes up .. (in other words I don't feel like I need to be up at midnight making Fast Pass selections)

I think the flexibility is still there with FP+ it is definitely more convenient than "hoping" you get a paper ticket and having to plan your day around whatever time the ticket gave you.

I remember when I made my trip last October we decided to go fairly last minute and was able to get a lot of selections even though we were under the 30 day mark. I was even able to easily get a 4th and 5th and 6th fast pass the day we were at the park in October (and felt fairly crowded).

(And yes .. I canceled those fast passes after my experiment was over)

It doesn't make much sense, other than different developers create the website and app. It's not that hard to show an icon on the days you have FP+ reserved. It made it a bit more painful for me to book our 15 day trip, especially going backwards. We have some off-site days at the beginning of the trip and I was told to be sure to book the on-site portion first or I'd hit the limit an be unable to book any more.
What limit?

Thanks OP for sharing your experience. It helps the rest of us make a mental note so we don't repeat the mistake.

APs too, but we have never maxed anything out. We go 3 times a week most times...
It is great knowing we can book any time. Its a win for sure!

I'm sure it's great for people who can go that often. I've said before that it really works best on our rest days when we don't plan to spend much time in a park. We only go for less than 90 minutes and ride the 3 reserved rides during the busiest part of the day and then leave.

Everyone with a ticket has a 30 day window. Those with Reservations get a 60 day window and day 31-60 (+10 or the end of your Reservations whichever is sooner.)

The system does not seem to not care when your fast passes are booked.
