Hi! I am taking my son, who will be just shy of 4 to DW in March. We will also be traveling with our 8 mo old, though, so I am trying to compile a list of 4-5 things per park that are "must sees" for our older son- feel free to inlcude dining locations as well! thx!!!!

My four year old DD loved the pool at the hotel the best..go figure! But anyway this year she was more fearful of certain rides than last time we went when she just turned three but it is just that age. She would NOT go on the Haunted Mansion at all and we had to coax her to go on Splash Mountain which she loved and Dinosaur which she almost had a heart attack on! It all depends on your child I guess. We did well with the easy going family rides like small world (her favorite) and pooh ride etc. Which was fine by me because those rides we could take her one year old brother on as well. Crystal palace was our favorite character meal. Don't miss the shows such as Nemo and lion king. Kids this age tend to appeciate the shows and the parades.

Mom of 4yo DS here!

MK- Dumbo, Philharmagic, Pooh, Speedway, train, TTA
(Yeah, I know  but DS loves TTA because it goes thru the dark tunnels)
Pinocchio's with a window seat by IASW- they have pizza
Avoid Stitch- too scary! Avoid Laugh Floor- preschoolers sense of humor isn't quite there yet.

Epcot-Nemo/the Seas, Soarin, Living w/Land, Test Track(may be too scary for some), Imagination w/Figment, Spaceship Earth
Love Sunshine Seasons in the Land pavillion for CS.
Avoid Honey I Shrunk the Audience- may be too scary!

DHS-Playhouse Disney, Character greetings(they have Buzz, Cars, Power Rangers), Honey I Shrunk the Kids playground, LMA show or Indiana Jones if he is into cars or Indy like mine, Muppets 3-D.
If he's into Little Einsteins they have a character meal.

AK-Finding Nemo, Kilimanjaro Safaris, either of the animal trails, Dino dig site,
Rafiki's Planet Watch, FOTLK
Avoid ITTBAB- very scary and dark- lots of crying kids!

My son will turn 4 this month. We went twice last year and he loved WDW!! Some of his favorite things were:

DHS - loved the Indiana Jones show, TSM, loved meeting the Little Einsteins and the H&V character meal, Star Tours and Jedi Academy (he just watched while DS5 participated). bored at Muppets show. Loved meeting the power rangers and Buzz/Woody.

MK - loved Goofy Barnstormer and POTC. Pooh, PeterPan, Dumbo, Carousel. Loved the Indy Speedway cars. Loved the 3D Philharmagic show. And buzz ride was a big hit. Jungle cruise was OK. Bored with Aladdin Magic Carpets. Absolutely thrilled with pulling the sword out of the stone behind the Carousel. Crystal Palace meal was great.

Epcot - Loved Test Track. Liked Soarin. Totally bored with Nemo ride. Loved meeting the characters at Character Spot

AK - Loved to play at Boneyard, Triceratops Spin, Lion King show and Safari ride. He liked to explore throught the Pangini Forest looking at the fish, gorillas and birds. Bored with Nemo show, didn't like Tough to be Bug.

He liked meeting the characters at each park and character meals. He had no interest in getting autographs (my other son took care of that).

I wrote up a trip report of our recent Oct trip if you'd like to hear more about what things we did with my 2 boys.

For character meals, you just need to think about which characters he'd like most. My son was so into Little Einsteins, so H&V was a must do for him. Crystal Palace and Chef Mickeys are next as favorites. Then Tusker House and Cape May breakfast. He was a little bit scared at RainForest Cafe, it's very loud there and lots of animals moving.

Have a great time planning!!!

My 4 yr old loved...MK-All of fantasyland and toontown fair,Buzz lightyear,The speedway racecars, tomorrowland transit authority, pirates, jungle cruise, the alddin carpets Epcot-the living seas pavilion, the land pavilion, all of WS-she really enjoyed the kidcot stops and the perfomers in each country.DHS- Playhouse disney, toy story mania,muppets...we didn't make it to the AK>

We took DS this past summer when he was not quite 4 1/2. He LOVED the Pooh ride and IASW. The train..eh..not so much. But he also enjoyed the Monorail, the Haunted Mansion, ITTBAB and Philharmagic. The Nemo ride was a HUGE hit.:rotfl:

The only problem we noticed with some of the shows was that he thought they were too loud, so he'd put his hands over his ears. Nothing really scared him though, except the lion during HISTA. Everything else he loved.
