Must haves when you walk out the door!

I'm leaving in two days (woot!). I just stuffed my dress into a carry-on suitcase that my MIL is taking with her...awesome.

Um...I'm not packed...and I think I'm prob going to forget a million things....so what is your list of completely essentials that you must have (wedding stuff...not really clothes and toiletries, id and stuff) when you walk out the door for your wedding vacation?

I remember my biggest make sure I have were the rings and the marriage license... for without those the wedding would not happen!!!! Followed by my wedding day jewelry, and my toasting flutes... all of these things I needed IN MY CARRY ON BAG and NOT CHECKED!!!

For some reason leading up to the wedding I kept having nightmares that I would leave my DIY escort cards at home... I had the same vision that my wedding day was going on and my escort cards and holders were MIA and I left them at home... then I was running to the craft store in Orlando trying to remake them at the last minute and seeing if I could use the hotel's printer. I had guests waiting to enter the reception but I was in my wedding dress making the escort cards because they had to be there. Like back in college when you finish and print your paper right before it was due..

Needless to say I didn't forget them... but every time I would have a dream of something wedding related I made a list and checked it off!!! It was the little things I was nervous to forget.... I didn't forget anything EXCEPT I had purchased adorable wedding parasols for pictures and they made it down to FL but never left my room because morning of I completely forgot...

I completely know what you're talking about regarding dreams about things gone wrong. I keep having a dream that the wedding time changed but all of the floral and other details were not adjusted to the ceremony change! lol

Anyways, thanks for your post! I'm leaving in 2 days and somehow it feels that I haven't thought about any of the details. I'm diggin out passporter to go over the lists! Trying to make sure all my work is done so I can leave for a week is what's "distracting" me lol.

So:
dress
rings
license
passports
paperwork with all confirmation numbers (accommodation, kids nite out, golf cart rental, dining reservations)
registry gift card
camera/video camera
and any items to bring to the ceremony/reception (ie. photos, programs)
contact numbers for guests

What am I missing?

We also have files on our computer (which we are bringing) to print off and copy, but I think we can do that upon arrival!

My mom and sister are there already (arrive today..Nov. 3) and they say the weather is amazing!
