We are not big snack eaters normally however, this trip we are taking my Mom's foster boy and he is a snacker beyond snackers. i would love to have him get one special treat in the park each day. Please share with me your favorite snacks at both Disneyland and DCA.

Thanks-
Jo

I am sure everyone will come through with all the usual suspects but I have one that I can't wait to get everytime we head down that I've never heard anyone else mention... I love Minnie's Bakery chocolate and vanilla cookies (think animal crackers). We get them in the candy store (I can't think of the name) on Main St. They are so simple and not too sweet, very good treat that reminds me of being a kid.

I absolutely love the coconut macaroons drizzled with chocolate from Blue Ribbon Bakery. :lovestruc

The Tigger Tails from Pooh's corner are pretty good too! :)

Churros. The ones at DLR at the best imo and they're always hot and fresh. The popcorn is also covered with what can only be described as liquid crack and the popcorn carts in DL have little creatures turning popcorn-filled tubes that correspond to where the carts are located (like the yeti for Fantasyland). The soft pretzels are good (nothing special), but are shaped like Mickey heads. All of the treats at Pooh's Corner that they make on site (ie that are behind the glass) are really good (Tigger Tails, Hunny Pot rice krispie treats, caramel apples, etc).

Im sure going thru disneylaqnd he will spy a snach he would like, heck give him 2 a day  when we go I do not limit my kids, why disneyland is fun! My kids love the frozen lemonaide, and the fresh fruits, the cotton candy, heck they love everything!!

DH & I loved the frozen lemonade, churros, popcorn.
DD6 loved the mickey rice krispies (with chocolate ears) & DD9 was very happy with the ice cream from the Gibson Girl Ice cream parlor

The various carmel/candy apples at Pooh's Corner are excellent and can/should be shared, also the Tigger Tail heres a pic

that is the one treat we get every trip!!!

Thanks guys, keep the ideas coming. the tigger tail looks very fun. I will have to limit what he eats or he will end up with a tummy ache and that is all we would do is eat. Poor guy has been hungry before and we have to remind him that there will be regular meals and snacks so he doesn't have to eat til he is sick.

Goofy's candy shop pretzel rods are a favorite at WDW for my family. Is there anywhere at DLR that makes anything like the make your own treat?

Thanks again

Tigger Tails - delicious but, MAN, are they sweet. It comes with 3 marshmallows and my two girls and I split one and it was plenty!

I CAN NOT RAVE enough about the AMAZING choco/carmel covered apples at Pooh's Corner. OMG. My mouth is watering just thinking about it. The outside is very sweet but the apple 'cuts' the sweetness and it is a perfect blend.

Ya gotta give one a try.

Plus, the Goofy's taffy was very good. It seemed fresher or 'something' more than any other taffy I've tried.

But the apples....Mmmmm, mmmm, mmmm:love:

Not a sweet snack, but my kiddos love the pizza from Daisy's Kitchen in Toon Town--I'm always offering them treats we come across and DS5 says "I'll wait til we get to the pizza!"

We were talking about our December Disney trip and my almost 4 year old niece says,"Can we get popcorn too?". That statements says it all. Of all the treats we have gotten in her few trips to Disneyland she remembers the popcorn.

The other things I love is the frozen chocolate banana and the dole whip. Also I am a hugh pickle fan and at all the fruit carts sell giant dill pickles. Nothing says Disney for me like a dill pickle.:rotfl2:

Churros. The ones at DLR at the best imo and they're always hot and fresh. The popcorn is also covered with what can only be described as liquid crack and the popcorn carts in DL have little creatures turning popcorn-filled tubes that correspond to where the carts are located (like the yeti for Fantasyland). I totally agree about the liquid crack. We crave Disney popcorn....

At Poohs corner they have a pretzel stick covered with carmel and chocolate that is soooooooooo good! I will deff get one when I go back. Plus Gibson Girl icecream is a must for my family! And I love the frozen lemonade...not the pre packaged stuff, but the kind you can get from the carts that they bring out when it is warm, it reminds me of a slushy texture! They are the best!!!!!

Sarah

P.S. Hope he has a great time~

Churros and a Dole Whip. My two must have snacks on every trip, but not at the same time!:lmao:

snacks we had that I'd say qualify as being "good" were the chocolate muffins from the bakery and the candy bars from the candy store on Main Street...the ones that are made at WDW. The only thing that qualified under "great" is the Dole Whips.

The cookies we got were hard and tasteless. The frozen treats are NOT like what you get at WDW...they are frozen solid. As in, like bricks. It took nearly half an hour for us to begin to chip bits off the frozen lemonade. How silly! There just wasn't much of anything in the park that was worth the price they were asking!

I cannot go to DL and not get a churro, which is obvious. But if you want to take it to the next level, drink a sip of Sprite right after taking a bite of the churro. For some reason it makes the Sprite taste really citrus-y and delicious (and I don't even usually drink soda!).
