Must-Have iPod Accessories?

Ditto. Also an FM transmitter for the car; it's not phenomenal quality, but it is perfectly adequate :)

Maybe in the UK, my good man. But in the USA most places the airwaves are too congested to get a halfway decent signal for very long. Especially near any big city.

Actually most people not in big cities do okay with it. Both my brother (near Philly) and I have troubles. I know many other in most parts of the US who are fine with them.

Since it didn't work for me, I upgraded my system in my car so that it would work with a specific adapter made by Alpine. The sound is awesome for that!

Otherwise just check your system and see if you have an aux outlet set up. A lot of OEM systems don't in cars. That's why I got a new Alpine radio/CD player and then the adapter.

I live in Philly area. It usually stinks here. I have also had very poor reception In Batimore, Washington D.C. and Atlanta. But I'm glad it works for you. Wish it worked for me.

EDIT see below.... brain is numb!

I never said it worked for me ;) There was a reason why I had to spend $400 after having the $40 transmitter not work.

Just you are speaking of MAJOR cities there (and where I live is #15 in the US, so not good for it either)... once you move further west & south, most will be okay with the FM transmitter.

I'm tired! :) I mean I am glad you found a solution.... 3 hours of driving in intense rain has worn my brain down to a nub. :teeth:

That why I bought a new car stereo radio with the aux plug. For me it was easier to spend a few hundred as well instead of a $40 adapter.

However, while I was at the Apple store yesterday, the employees were talking about a new FM receiver that they just got in that day. Apparently its stronger?, and has a digital readout.... The employees said it was a better product, but I'm not so sure.
