Looking for must-go places that aren't on the dining plan. Any suggestions?

People say a lot of good things about Bluezoo (seafood), and Shula's (steak), both at the Dolphin. I'm a seafood person and I'm looking forward to trying Bluezoo on my next trip.

Fultons at DTD. Well..it is on the premium and platinum plans. Sure wish it was on the DDX. LOVE that place. Best restaurant on property IMO.

You must a child. Hence the name Soooo.......
I would recommend T-Rex if they like dinosaurs. The place is great and the food is good. We are all adults and sit at the bar for apps and drinks. DH sometimes gets a meal and always enjoys it. It can be loud if you have a little one that is scared by noises.
Coral Reef is another fav for us. The aquarium viewing is awesome. Food is good. Service is sometimes slow but it is another must do for us.
PP'rs recommendations are both great, although we thought Shulas went way downhill the last time we ate there. About 2-3 years ago. They are VERY $$$!

In addition to bluezoo and Shula's, there are several other restaurants in the Swan and Dolphin worth checking out. Something in those hotels that's a little off the beaten path and much more casual is the Cabana Bar and Beach Club by the pool at the Dolphin.

It's a relaxing outdoor location, and they serve surprisingly good food in a menu that gets updated just as often as some of the better signature restaurants on property. It's well worth seeking out.

I would also suggest Blue Zoo. We have a TIW card, but used a restaurant.com certificate (without problem), as the discount using the certificate was a bit better than TIW. For us, Blue Zoo ranks second only to our favorite all-time meal at Victoria and Albert's. The bread basket, clam chowder appetizer, and my swordfish entree were divine. My husband had a daily fish special that he also raved about. Great food, and the service was top-notch.

Bluezoo is also our favorite go to place. We are adults only and we go for the great food and the great bartender. It's more upscale than WDW signatures and more sophisticated.

We also enjoy Il Mulino and bistro de Paris for more romantic meals.

Portabellos and Fultons are good too but I like the others a little better.

House of Blues at DTD is our new favorite restaurant. We get restaurant.com certificates (you can only redeem one per party per month) but even at full price it is worth it. We have a reservation for one meal there and will pick another night closer to the time - or even a lunch perhaps- and eat there again. We loved the food and atmosphere and the service was great!

T-Rex is so much fun if you have kids (or not) and I also love Bongo's Cuban Cafe at DTD.
