A friend of mine is travelling soon with her family, including a 12 and 15 year old.

What do you experts consider must-do's for kids this age?

TIA!

Judy

I'm 18 so I guess I can throw my opinion in ;)

I would highly recommend the following:

Rock n Roller Coaster
Tower of Terror
Test Track
All 3 Mountains (Space, Big Thunder, and Splash)
Mission Space

And even now at 18, I love all the rides at MK such as Peter Pan, Snow White, Pirates of the Carribean, Jungle Cruise, Mickey's PhilHarMagic, etc...

I never went through a phase where I thought I was "too cool" for any of the rides but I have friends who did so unless they are like that, they should enjoy mostly all of the rides at all 4 parks but esp. the ones I listed. Hope that helps :)

I agree with HomeSweetDisney. Also, on waltdisneyworld.com, there is a section for all of the rides for teens and it includes shows and other attractions. There are also sections for other age groups, from the little kids on up.

They might also want to try Disney Quest, depending on if they are big into video games.

This past March I was there with my 12 yo niece and 14 yo nephew.

AK
Loved Dinosuar, KRR, KS
Liked Primeval Whirl, ITTBAB
Thought the Rainforest Cafe in Vegas was better, but were satisfied with this one.

MGM
Loved RNRC, TOT
Liked Drew Carey, SCI FI Diner
Did not like Star Tours (and the 14 yo is a Star Wars fan, thought the ride was lame) and GMR

Epcot
Loved MS, TT, Illuminations Cruise
Liked SSE, Living with the Land, HISTA, Living Seas, Performers in England, 14yo liked the train in Germany
Could live without Maelstrom
Did not like American Adventure
Had no interest in seeing the movies in China, France and Canada

They liked Alfredo's and Le Cellier for lunches

MK
Loved Space Mtn, Splash Mtn, HM, TSI, Tea cups (I think because they wanted to torment me), Buzz, TTA (thought it was a great place to rest your feet)
They were not crazy about BTMRR, we sat in the front the first ride and they felt it was too slow. Sat in the back the next time and they liked it better as it seemed faster.
Sort of liked TimeKeeper
Did not like CoP

They loved the Plaza for lunch and dinner and Crystal Palace for breakfast (all our other breakfasts were at the concierge lounge)

They LOVED Disney Quest and Typhoon Lagoon. We were there Sat to Sat and on Tuesday went to TL right at opening stayed there until early afternoon then showered and changed back BC and went to DQ late afternoon. Neither was terribly crowded on a Tuesday.
