Bearing in mind that we are only there for 2 1/2 days with a three year old, what are your absolute must dos?!

It'sa small world
Peter Pan
Pinocchio
Storybookland
:goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes

watch the parade, do the Fantasyland rides, go on Pirates, if staying in a disney hotel get in early for EMH one day, do a character meal and go on BTM (but with a 3 yr old that may not be applicable to you)

Hello, you will love it and I think with a little one you have to head to the castle and Fantasy Land. All the rides are there for the little ones and the Princesses are usually at the castle.

The parades are a must as well.

Have a lovely time.

Thanks for all the pointers, will def try to get as many of them done! I'm a big fan of the coasters, but dp isn't so it looks like I will be going alone on them!

All mine wanted at that age was to meet Minnie and Mickey and eat big chocolate chip cookies on Main St!!

It's a small World is a good first ride as not too dark, lots to look at and no scary noises (except THAT tune going through your head FOR EVER!!)

Tell the little one to watch for the secrets - e.g. the snoring armour upstairs in the castle... , listen outside the shops off Main St - the dentist is/was a good one... (I'm sure there must be a list of secrets somewhere)

Oh, and if yours are like mine - visit the car parks - the "travelator" (moving walkway) was voted one of the best rides!!:goodvibes Kids!!

Have fun!!! Wish i was going back...

the parade definately, all the rides in fantasyland, buzz in discoveryland, potc. i would really recommend cafe mickey as meeting the characters in the park isnt great i mean you only get a couple of seconds. if your child has a favourite character check out the list of meet and greets. if you have emh then use them. i found 8-10 was the best part of my day :rotfl:

For the whole family - we enjoyed It's a Small World and Storybook Land as well as traipsing around Adventure Isle and the Pirate Ship. We liked the castle, but the dragon was scaring little kids - all the under 5's in there were crying.

Adult stuff - We thought DLP's Big Thunder was the best one we'd been on (compared to WDW and DL). We haven't yet been to Tokyo (5 months and counting!), though. Of course, Phantom Manor because it's different, and POTC is always a must-do. We did not like Space Mountain 2. We both kept banging our heads on the padded restraints and it hurt so bad! I was practically crying because my ears hurt so much. Maybe others enjoyed it more, but not us.

Have fun! DLP is great! We want to go back, but Tokyo is first for us.

Fab hints, what about places to eat? We've booked a Character breakfast and are staying in the Cheyenne, so may be able to do GMF breakfast on the Tues.

Another q - are you likely to get wet on any of the rides (aside from the rain lol!)

You may get wet on Pirates of the Caribbean and on Studio Tram Tour in the Studios.

As for eating i think Cafè Mickey is the best choice for a 3 years old but if you have booked a character breakfast you are already going there aren't you???

I would add The Carousel, Teacups, Alice's Maze & Dumbo (if the queue is not too long!) in Fantasyland. Someone mentioned Pinocchio, but I think it is a bit dark & scary for 3 yr olds (as is Snow White). An absolute must is the Anamigique show in the Studios. If your child loves the characters, visit the reception of the Disneyland Hotel at 4pm where about 6 characters come down the stairs & dance with the children waiting there. There aren't usually many there so they will have a good opportunity to meet the characters & get photos/autographs without a scrum. Have a great time.
