We are going to WDW in March and I would like to know the must do things for a 3 and 5 year old.
Are there some attractions that they will not be able to go on?
We expect to spend 4 or 5 days at WDW.

WE just got back and have 3 and 5 year olds. We only went to MK, but both kids were able to ride most everything. We did brkfast at Cindy's castle for our DD5 and dressed her as Cindy. There she got to meet all of the princesses and get pictures with them. She was in awe. My son loved meeting Woody & Jessie and Jasmine & Ariel. They both loved the 3D show Philharmagic, but I think their favorite ride was Peter Pan's Flight.

We are going for the second time with our three year old. She loved Fantasyland at the Magic Kingdom and the Tomorrowland Transportation ride. She was kind of afraid of the dark during Peter Pan's Flight and was TERRIFIED of Mickey's Philharmagic. Now, a year later, she wants to do them both again since she knows what to expect. Teacups were a fave and so was the Indy Speedway. At MGM she liked Playhouse Disney Live on Stage, she loved the Living Seas at Epcot, and at Animal Kingdom, the Festival of the Lion King was the hot ticket for her.

My DS is 5, and he loves everything!!! His fav. is Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger Spin!! It's fun. He can go on everything at WDW, except for space mountain........ and he'd go if he could, but I won't let him. He did get a little scared on Big Thunder Mountain, and didn't want to do it again. He didn't ride on Splash Mountain either, it was too cold last year when we were there. I didn't want him to get wet. Other than that, I think a 5 year old can pretty much do everything. Some other advice, SKIP Stitch -- it is not worth ANY wait at all, even if it was walk on, I'd walk right on by. It was NOT enjoyable for us at all. It's really up to your kids, but my advice would be to skip the following........ at least from our experiences with our DS.

1. Stitch
2. Space Mountain
3. Splash Mountain
4. Big Thunder
5. Haunted Mansion

Some kids get scared on Pirates, but my DS loved it......... we rode that numerous times. It can get a little "spooky" I guess for just a few minutes at the very beginning......... but not bad at all, and it has a little "dip", NOT a drop, even though it makes you think it does......... it really doesn't.

If you are going to the other parks, others can help. We've not done the other parks with DS yet, we are going to all 4 this next trip in Jan. I'm sure others will give you advice, but our DS could do almost everything, and there is a lot for the little one's to do. You may want to check out some of the kids programs at the resorts. My DS went on the Pirate Cruise from the GF last year and loved it. Not sure if you have boys or girls, but there were girls on it too, and they enjoyed it. They also have another kids cruise, I think it's the albatross?? and there is a cooking class, a lot of the resorts have kids programs. If you need more specifics, let me know, I or someone else will gladly help.

Have a great trip.

It all depends on how tall they are. They probably won't be able to go on Space Mountain and Rock N' Roller Coaster. The coasters and water ride at AK will also be out. The older one should be able to go on most other rides, though my 3 year old is too short for Tower of Terror, Test Track, Splash Mountain and Big Thunder Mountain RR--my 5 year old rode these when he was 4 and loved them, though he didn't want to go on ToT again.

I would stay away from the 3D movies at Epcot and AK. They are too loud and scary for my kids. The ones at MK and MGM are great though. There are many, many rides without height requirements, so they won't be missing out on much.

My 5 year old loves Magic Kingdom, but not any rides that are dark. She also enjoyed the shows at MGM and Animal Kingdom. There was really nothing for her at Epcot and I felt bad for her the night we went because she really couldn't ride on anything and only her older brother and sister (11&10) did alot in Epcot. She did enjoy the KIDCOT stations in Epcot though. This is where we went around to each country and got cut outs from each country to add to mask they received in the first country they stopped in. Next time I think we will split up for that night.
