Must be spring...found a tick on my head!!!

I need to preface this by saying that I thought I knew a lot about ticks. When I worked at a doctor's office I would do a lot of teaching about prevention, removal of ticks and the signs of Lyme Disease. So today when I found a tick on my head guess what this usually calm, professional nurse did? I screamed and threw it across the room!!!!!! So much for practicing what you preach

LOL! My friend had a tick on his forehead. It went kinda like this:

A: "I didn't know you had a birthmark on your forehead!"

B: "Err, I don't.. OW WHY ARE YOU PINCHING ME!!"

A: "THAT'S NOT ME!!"

B: "OH MY GOD!!"

DH found two on his head after he did some yard work about 2 weeks ago. Guess who had to remove them for him? YUCK!!

They must be really bad this year, my friend went on a field trip with her DS's class. All the teachers that went found at least one on them, several of the mom's found one on them and there was several found on the kids. One teacher found one at her pantie line , my friend found one on her breast . Everyone needs to be very careful to check themselves along with children.

I can't stand these nasty little critters. I would have thought with the cold winte we had, there wouldn't be so many of them. Seems to be just the opposite.
