With some of the stuff I have read here, can you IMAGINE the nightmare that the ticket booths are going to be for the first couple of months!!

I have always tried every way possible to avoid Disney ticket booths at all costs. We order our tickets ahead of time, we purchase them at the resort, we activate APs at the West Side kiosk, etc. We do NOT stop at a WDW ticket booth.

However, if these new tickets are all going to have names, and are all going to have to be activated with IDs, then I hope they allow the resorts to start doing this!!!

Can you imagine!!

Disney: Hello - How many are in your party??
Guest: Five

Disney: How many days do you want to visit the parks??
Guest: Huh?? Parks?? We only want to go to Disney World

Disney: We have the Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Studios, Animal Kingdom
Guest: Wow! But what about Disney World??

Once they get past that little problem.......

Disney: How many days do you want to visit??
Guest: Well I guess four??

Disney: Do you want to park hop??
Guest: What's that??

And the conversation goes on!!!!!!!

Disney: Now I need to see all the adults ID
Guest: Why do we need ID??? We didn't bring ID, plus Aunt Jane won't be here till 2pm, we just wanted to go ahead and get her ticket

And the guest trudges back to the monorail and back to the parking tram to retrieve his ID from the car, and the process starts all over again!!!

Disney: How many are in your party????

:D :D :D :D

I'm sorry. I'm out of the loop. Are they checking ID's now? Carol, I love your posted conversation! Hahaha! If they are going to be asking for ID's...............geez!

It is very possible that the new tickets will be attached with a name and biometric scans.

When we've (me, DH and DS9) bought annual passes, they've asked for one ID so they could enter the name and address. They didn't ask for IDs for all the adults.

But if the new MYW tickets are going to be biometric, they'll need to have the names on them. Primarily as a backup if the finger scan fails (then you can show picture ID), but also for those folks (like the ones in Carol's post) who end up with 5 MYW passes and put them all in one person's wallet.

"OK, which of these tickets is Aunt Jane's?"
"I don't know; they all look the same."
"Well, we'll try this one; if her fingers don't match, we'll just try another."

;)
