I am also wondering this as well. I don't want a violinist either and I am having a small wishes wedding so I don't know that I want one of my guests hitting play on the I-Pod. I was kinda hoping my WP would do it for me... has anyone ever asked them and have they done it? Thanks for starting this thread!
I'm not getting married at SBP, but I did see a wedding there that had a violinist. I was originally going with a violin for my wedding at YCG, but I was not thrilled with the violinist. Maybe it was just him, but he was pacing around a little too much and not playing while the people were being seated.
I strongly considered having a guitarist instead of a violinist for our wedding. But, economy won out on that one. I think the violinist will work fine for the ceremony, but we're planning to use an iPod at the reception and during the dances...
A violinist will be beautiful Mandy . I had a string trio and they played Disney Love songs during pre ceremony and cocktail hour and everybody loved them
We just had the violinist. Ours was Rob, and he was wonderful! He played all Disney songs, but that is what we asked for:
Bella Note: Seating of the mothers
A Whole New World: Bridesmaids' processional
When you Wish Upon a Star: Entrance of the bride
Zip a Dee Doo Dah: recessional
He picked a great song for our dance, and played "name that Disney song" with our guests while we were having cake.
