I take karate, but don't play football. I only weigh 120 pounds at 5'10", but I have no fat on my body whatsoever.
 
Dude, my guns are hereditary. I could flex my calfs better than the boys in my gym class. What can I say, I've got a big frame, so that proves your 'anorexic' theory wrong. There's a reason I play field hockey.

Whatever you do, DON'T get a knee injury and lay in bed all the time cause you can't walk. I lost ALL my muscle, or 1/3 of my body weight. Been there, done that.
 
well i asked my buddy barry bonds how he works out and he gave me a bag of needles :eek: :eek: , but seeing how idk where you live i cant give you any :sad: :sad:

haha no ima soccer player so i go more for endurance, but i do kinda have a personal trainer and for an example of a work out i do with him is....for benching with dumbbells(sp) you do like a 30 weight in each hand for 10 reps, than do leg curls with bringing the thing up with both legs than letting down the weight with one leg and do that 6 times with each leg, than go back to dumbbells and go up on weight by 5lbs and do 8 reps, than do the leg curl thing again, than go back to bench add another 5lbs and do 6 reps, than go back to leg curls, and than bench add another 5lbs and do 8 reps, and than do leg curls again....thats just an example of what we do hope that helps :thumbsup2

mkay, what you have to do is

1. stop making guy oriented threads

2. add weight to whatever you are lifting right now. add like 10 pounds or whatever you can still lift with some struggle.

i want saying it cause i dont think that girls arent in to stuff like that...i said it cause he said GUYS do you have any secrets and stuff and i take that to literally mean guys, not girls. so i kindly pointed that out to him:)
 
If I was you I would eat like crazy. Gaining fat is good because it is stored energy. And keep increasing the weight that you are lifting. I learned this all from my football lifting coach.
 
Unless you have a full out Mesomorph body type like Rambo, don't bother.
 
yeah if you're reeeally commited and have the time/money you should look into p90x.

i have a friend who did that programme and it SERRRIOUSLY worked for him!!
he was really lanky & skinny before and how he had an amazzzing body!!
 
well i work on my arms
because i play sports using my arms like lax and hockey,
but usually i lift wieghts and mow teh grass.
stuff usuing my arms.
but like lift weights crunches and otehr stuff.
just stay healthy!
 
any guys on here know much about bulking up.

im trying to gain a little weight fr football next year.

heres myproblem.

i way 160 pounds, and im pretty strong, but i cant put on a pound to save my life. im looking to put on about 2-4 inches on my arms and 4 or 5 on my chest

i tried protein shakes and that did about nothing.
ive heard creatine works well. buts its pricey.

anyone know anything?.

There's nothing better than working out. I worked out about 5 days a week along with some protein shakes and I got huge. In about 2 months I gained a good 10 pounds of muscle.
 
haha i usually just do stuff with my own weight because im not looking into getting hulkly.. so i usually do sets of push ups, sit ups, pull ups, etc etc... but yea, you definitely need to do weight training and eat A LOT to get large muscle mass... but i really dont recommend taking any protein supplements or anything... yes.. they will get you larger faster... but in the long run, they do a lot of damage to your body (heart, liver, etc etc)... and if you stop working out consistantly, youll probably start to sag in older age which is really nasty lol
 
you should try gymnastics ;) seriously tho i havnt actually gone in two years and all i do it lift 5 pound weights like once a week and i still beat all the people in my class at arm wrestling, even the football players :) its fun watching their faces when they lose :rotfl:
 
The old fashioned way. Lift weights. Go to the gym. This is what I plan to do this summer.

Actually thats a good idea because Gymnasts are jacked.
 
From gymnastics and lacrosse, to work on your arms, I found the best exercise was pull-ups. It helped me build muscle within a few months. I would say to do alot of cardio exercise like running or swimming because by lifting without anything else, it may be harder to burn off fat. :)
 
I'm 6'0 tall, but only 159.9 lbs. (In case you couldn't tell we had a football power test today). I lost two lbs of water weight too. And I play line, small lineman much?

What position do you play?

lol, yep try standing on your head for a couple minutes, your arms will start to feel a little wobbly, ( nevermind what your head will feel like ), or vault work some of that can give you some pretty nice muscles or bar, some of the flips we did on there made you arms burn for a week
