We were originally supposed to land at 2:20 pm. Needless to say last night I was not in the mood to share my thoughts. Lol

Following along..What a great trip, your DS and yourself! Our family was at Universal Hard Rock Hotel, express passes this May and we had a BLAST!
Gringotts was my absolute fav, WOW! It goes without saying that express pass were beyond fabulous, but heard that Sapphire is beautiful and the pool beautiful! ENJOY!We missed Kong unfortunately, but always a NEXT TIME! Great combo, WDW and Universal, ENJOY! HAPPY BIRTHDAY to your son!

According to the map this is going to be "Cayman Court" for outdoor events. Then that building is the convention center. Ballrooms and meeting space.

Beautiful day!!! Crowded and hot but not miserable. We got here right at lunch time so it's the busiest time of the day. We've already been on forbidden journey twice, hogwarts express and gingotts. All within about 90 minutes total. Single rider lines are very short.

We are now on the top floor overlooking the park!!!!!

I can't wait to hear about your trip. It will be interesting to see how the "no fp" trip goes. I think you'll be able to get some last minute fp's for the big rides. And it is easy to get last minute ADR's. We have been holding off making ADR's, too, until the last minute, although we do book a couple must haves. This time we are going to eat at Narcoosse's for the first time ever. I have to try the almond encrusted cheesecake. I have heard nothing but good things about it.

We ended up in a handicapped room at the BC when our flight home was cancelled at the last minute and it was the only room they had. I really liked having a real shower.

When we finished at the parks we came back to swim. Great pool area! Tons of chairs!

We had dinner tonight downstairs at Amatista Cookhouse. It was good. I had the conch chowder and fresh fish sandwich, Nic had the meat lovers pizza. I took a couple of pics:

All in all a successful first day. Not sure what we'll do tomorrow. Maybe Epcot. It's Nic's birthday so he gets to choose!
