Murphy’s are Live from WDW! July 15-22 - Port Orleans French Quarter

We are booked on the summer magic offer since I didn’t renew our APs in January. Thinking maybe we’d take a year off. Ha ha that didn’t happen. I just upgraded my 8 day park hopper today to an AP for an extra $350 so I thought that was a pretty good deal. I’ll be back in November, staying at AKL with my mom for a girls only trip. Then probably back for Christmas and spring break to get my money’s worth.

Epcot is pretty dead today. Soarin only a 20 minute wait. Sure doesn’t feel like the usual summer crowds.

I grabbed some shots of Donald with another family, my kids of course won’t slow down and let me wait in line. He’s so cute!

Dinner was at Teppan Edo and boy are we stuffed. I had the chicken, Connor the filet and Nic had steak and shrimp. We were seated almost immediately and our table was only half filled. I’m really not used to seeing Epcot this dead, especially on a weekend.



After dinner we hit France for some ice cream, I have to have my caramel fleur de sel, and we saw lots of flag waving and face paint in celebration of the World Cup.

We’ve only been in WDW half a day and I’m already at 15k steps.

Tomorrow is AK. Our fastpasses are Flight of Passage, the safari and finding Nemo the musical. Then dinner at the Edison in Disney Springs. A first visit for all of us. I like to try every new restaurant at least once, hopefully it’s good!

We had a slow start this morning and missed our first fastpass, but Flight of Passage is coming up next in about an hour.

First we are going to grab QS lunch at yak and yeti. It’s thundering now so most rides are closed. The outdoor ones.

Nic’s first time on flight of passage and he loved it! Said it’s the best ride at Disney.

Dinner tonight was at the Edison.

We had a calamari appetizer which was good. My cocktail was called the Time Turner, very tasty. For dinner Nic had the fish and chips and Connor and I had the Edison burger. It was very good. The boys and I agreed the aesthetic of the restaurant made the visit worthwhile.

After dinner we hit the World of Disney for some shopping. Big changes to this store, wow! Half of it is still closed but this portion is impressive. Love the change.

Boys are now in The Void doing a VR game they were super excited about.

After this it’s Ghirardelli for dessert.

Everywhere we go everyone asks Nic how tall he is I think he’s about 6’4” now. I haven’t measured him lately. He’s easy to spot in a crowd though. Lol

That looks like fun. It looks like they are the perfect age for this activity. I had considered taking our grandsons, age 12 and 14, to Disney Springs for this, but we had too many other things to do.

Do you have to sign up ahead of time?

I did read about VOID. Sounds interesting. Glad they enjoyed.

They made a reservation about two hours ahead of time. But when we got there it looked like they also take walk-ins.
