Muppet Vision question

Is this 15 min show at set times? I've gone through quite a few post and some posters mentioned the show is actually 30 min with the preshow and not just 15 min. Does anyone have insight? Thanks in advance.

It's continuous. The "main" show in the theater is 15 minutes (approximately) but there's a pre-show area where you wait that shows a funny video that is also about 15 minutes (basically it runs the same length of the show in the theater since it's timed to end just as the other show lets out and then starts again for the next group). You may enter the attraction at any time during the pre-show so you may see the entire 15 minutes or you may see the last 30 seconds depending on when you happen to enter. But there's really no way to know from the outside where in the 15 minute loop it is. If you've ever been to Philharmagic - it's basically the same concept. Just Muppets has a video playing while you wait.

(For what it's worth - I think the video is really entertaining!)

As with any Disney area the theming is fun and intricately detailed in the waiting are before the show. So if you get in in enough time, take time to look around and take it in, in addition to watching the video.

One example is a play on words, hanging from the ceiling is "a net full of jello". Can you figure out what/who that is paying tribute to?

So, I just want to see if my thinking is right. Should I assume most shows that don't have set times have some type of waiting queue? So like Star Wars: Path of the Jedi is a 10 min film, but perhaps there is another 10 min movie in the queue that you watch?

Sometimes, but usually it's just a que and you wait. Star Wars path of the Jedi there's no movie ahead of the film. You weave through a que line with pictures of artwork from different Star Wars movies and cartoons.

Other than Muppets, there's a bit of a pre-show at Laugh Floor. Philarmagic has periodic announcements but nothing really entertaining. Turtle Talk doesn't have a pre-show but the waiting area is just like other parts of the exhibit with things to look at and do. Can't really think of other things that have something similar. Things like Mermaid and Dis. Jr at DHS and Bug at AK have pretty normal queues outside. The few movie type things I've seen haven't really had a pre-show either. Most of the Epcot things have pavillion appropriate things to look at in the waiting area but no really entertainment.

best case scenerio, you catch the end of the pre show and you are out of the attraction in 16 minutes. 1 - min pre show and 15 minute main show

worst case scenrio, you get in just as the main show doors close. meaning you are there for 30 minutes. 15 minute pre show and 15 minute main show.

In the case of Muppets it could be argued that the pre-show is better than the actual show. I mean, it's just a video, but it's classic Muppet hijinks.

Ok so math isn't my strong suit...but there is always a 5 min wait for this attraction but if there is a 15 min pre event and a 15 min actual event shouldn't the wait time always be 15 to get into the 15 min pre event. Is my thinking right? Or at the very least the wait time should fluctuate more between 5-15 min to get in

I've never had to wait to get in, and once in the waiting area you'll find a countdown timer for when the doors will open to change to the next show. The video passes the time well and the counter will help you know if there is time to wait if your squeezing it in.

Ok thanks.. I've been watching wait times for awhile now and it seems muppets always says 5 min almost no matter what time of day

Another continuous load with a preshow is Great Movie Ride & Dinosaur,(which also has a great little post ride clip) Muppets is great fun, the preshow is great, as it is with most Disney rides.
