Any news of an update on this attraction in some shape or form? Definitely a must do at DHS for us but, what does the future hold for this show? I was just thinking today how outdated it is, and how much time this version of the show or attraction has left? Any news, or thoughts would be highly appreciated!

thanks! :surfweb:

They just updated the film fairly recently. Though I didn't really noticed a difference last time we sat in on it. I don't think they are planning anything else any time soon...But it would be nice to see something different, I'm not sure how relevant the Muppets are to little kids anymore?

I was thinking the same thing, I/m 18 and Muppets is barely relevant to our generation. I am starting to wonder if the will put some sort of pixar 3D experience in the theater in the future.

There is a new Muppet Movie coming out around Thanksgiving, so there may be a stronger Muppet presence at Disney parks after that if it is a hit. I'm also thinking the 3D movie could be updated as well.

Hopefully, it will make the Muppets more relevant to this generation, as they are very relevant to me. I love those guys.

I haven't heard anything about an update, but there is a new Muppet movie coming out this year - close to Christmas, I think. I'm guessing it will make the Muppets hip again; it's got a really good cast (of humans, I mean).

I love the Muppets, but the "attraction" needs to be updated. My kids really don't know much about them, but I try to show them things when I can. Also, why not bring out Kermit and Piggy again for meet and greets? I am surprised they don't do more with it, since they now own them.
Another option- why not just redo the whole 3D movie thing w/ Phineas and Ferb? That would be relevent and cool! I know we'd line up!

our last trip to WDW was June 2010, and I had to make sure to show my boys (at that time, 8 & 10) some "old" Muppet Shows from YouTube!!

I knew I wanted to catch the 3D show but I knew if they didnt have some clue as to who they were watching they wouldnt enjoy it..

but they had a BLAST!!

I, too, thought Muppet 3D was getting old last time we went, & I grew up actually watching the Muppet Show Friday nights at 7! However, my DS, 3 at the time, loved it & insisted we see it twice :rotfl:& he had NEVER before encountered the "muppet puppets" as he calls them.

Don't young kids still watch Sesame Street? I know that the casts are different but they are still Muppets.

The movie was just updated so I doubt they will be changing it any time soon. They didn't change the movie just the movie quality. It is more clear now and the 3D effects are supposed to be better. I could only tell a difference in the clarity.

However I still think they need to update!

I'm a huge Muppet fan! Obsessed just as much as I do Halloween. Would love to see a new version or something updated in there, just as long as it's still the Muppets! I still have my puppet Kermit from the first time I saw MuppetVision 3D.

The last two times we went to this the show broke down and we had to leave half way through. I can't imagine we'll even bother this time.

This is one of my all-time favorite attractions. The kids (5 and 7, boys) love it as well! It is genuinely funny (some classic Hensonesque wit and sarcasm in both the pre show and the show itself) and the concept of actually sitting in the classic Muppet theater from the TV show, while the show itself implodes, is wonderful!

Now, I did grow up with the classic Muppet show on TV, and my kids have seen it, so our opinion might be a bit skewed, of course.

I went to MuppetVision 3D this last trip, but I actually fell asleep in my wheelchair (it was the day I ran the 1/2 marathon and hurt myself, and I was on heavy painkillers).

I haven't seen it since I was 12 otherwise, and I fully plan on going in June with my parents!

Im pretty sure the pre-show area was updated last year?

But I have to agree that the movie is beginning to look a bit old and tired, time to freshen things up I think!

Not sure about other kids ~ but my girls pretty much always found Sesame Street to be babyish. I'm talking like 18 months old and my oldest DD was like "No, thats for babies!"

Um, dear, hate to tell you but you ARE a baby!

While we LOVE Phineas and Ferb here.... I don't think replacing Muppets with it would be the right thing to do. It needs it's own new attraction more like Jimmy Neutron over at Uni, IMHO.

What I'd like to see with Muppets is MORE of a 4D effects kind of thing. They do some sensory things ~ but there is definitely room for more. Like I wanna smell that cream pie!!
