For a while now DH and I have been talking about how the Muppets attraction, while classic, is a bit tired.
We then started coming up with ideas on how they could either update the Muppets 3D show or just completely redo the Muppet area with a new ride. We decided that what we would like best is to have a whole new Muppet ride in the same vein as the Great Movie Ride.
Get this. You enter the queue line and the story starts that you are new interns for Muppet Studios. You are going to help them out in running the Muppet Show Tonight. You then get on the cars with a narrating cast member who will "show you the ropes" of working here.
The ride itself will alternate passing through scenes of the show running a dress rehearsal and scenes backstage showing all the mayhem. You can integrate some live actors in with the Muppets (because Muppets do interact with live people all the time). Piggy can order the interns to get her coffee, Kermit can kindly greet the interns and show them love, many Muppets could acknowledge the guests in some funny way.
I honestly think it would be a blast! I mean, who doesn't want to "be a part" or making a "live" Muppets Show Tonight stage program. Plus, I think the mix of live actors and animatronics would work better because the animatronics aren't supposed to look like people. They are Muppets!
What do you think? Is the show tired, or do you still love it?

I think any new ideas are great!
