It would be nice if they gave some details.
This "keep the new ride a secret thing" is starting to be a drag because many parks are doing it. I don't get excited, I get mad at the parks for teasing the fans. It's like the parks think someone else is going to copy the ride, yeah right, they haven't copied Spiderman yet. So there's no way any park can copy the Mummy ride.
And let's hope they open the ride early in the season, which starts in May. Don't pull a Disney and open the ride in August just as kids go back to school. There is a coaster season, and it starts in May when Cedar Point opens. If USF was smart, they'd have the ride open for Spring Break, and advertise it to fans up north in January/February so they'd come down.
Let IOA Central do a construction update with pictures and the expected opening date. Fans up north will see it and ask their parents if they can fly down. Trips are planned months in advance, not a few days. It's like marketing people think they can run commercials, and poof, fans appear. That's not how it works. Trips are planned months in advance.
