Mummy Ride

You can't feel the drop on EE at all. There's no intensity to it. Maybe it's because you've just gone backwards for 15 seconds, but that drop is nothing.

My husband is a huge coaster wimp and he goes on this about a half dozen times. Remember, waiting is the worst part. It's the anticipation.:scared:

I don't think this ride is even CLOSE to the intensity of EE. I'm not afraid of much and the backward drop on EE freaked me out.

same here, I couldnt' wait to get off of EE after the backwards bit, it terrified me and my stomach was all cleenched up, but I was thrilled by the Mummy and am looking forward to riding that one again :woohoo: (and I'm a coaster wimp!)

I'm among some of the people that posted here that just don't like roller coasters....I can do the really tame ones but am just not able to handle ones with big drops (example: I'll do Big Thunder Mountain at Disney World Magic Kingdom, but won't do Splash Mountain.). My housemate did eventually persuade me to ride the Mummy when we were at Universal in December 2009. I was honestly afraid of riding the ride during the entire queue line, although I did enjoy the elements of the queue. I did scream like a little girl on the ride and was not a happy person when the ride was over, but in the end, I will say that it was a fun ride and I probably would ride it again. (Hopefully after I've gotten used to that type of ride through riding the Runaway Mountain at Six Flags Over Texas (closest theme park to me).

If you are prone to motion sickness, you will need to take your meds before riding the Mummy. I speak from experience.

Well, I'm back and rode the Mummy twice! It was a little intense (for me) but I did like it (hey, I was willing to go on again). It did seem more similar to Space Mountain than anything, especially because so much of it was in the dark. I was sooo glad they didn't have the scarabs crawl all over you (like you can feel the stuff in some of the shows like Shrek).

Mummy is a bit more of a "psychological" coaster.. it trys to get in your head a bit more.. especially if you go through the quene.

This trip both of my sons will be able to ride for the first time.. I am really looking forward to it.
