Mummy returns opening

rumors are anywhere from February til April time frame.

I hope by April 3rd when I'm there with my family! If not, how about sneaking my family in, DM? :hyper:

Any idea what the height restriction will be?

T&B

It should be in soft opening phase by then, T&B.

No word on height restriction. It'll probably be 40" or 42", but could be higher or lower.

That is so great. I cannot wait to hear about this attraction once it's open.

I'd check the picture out before it gets pulled too. They normally don't last all that long on the websites.

If USF was smart, they'd leave the pics up.

People up north are starving for a coaster ride. Yet the marketing people don't realize this.
Seems the Mummy ride will open in April just before CP opens in May.
If USF had a brain, they'd market the Mummy ride to the people up north NOW, telling them to come down and get a ride. But no, we hear nothing. Don't know what they're hiding. It's not a world record height coaster, won't break any records. So why the secret attitude? Announce the ESTIMATED opening date now and get the fans up north to come down. Why do I care?
Because I want that money to be used for a new fun ride.

Robvia, you should be on Universal's marketing team. You've got great ideas that are sensible and would be highly beneficial to the parks.

Also, that mentioned pic was released by Universal, so it will stay up. Other pics have been taken down.

Okay, thanks DM!!:D

I haven't been here for a while so wasn't sure where the link would be.

Thanks again.

Just had to agree about the marketing...or lack there of. I truly don't understand Universal - they have great things to attract the public like the Mardi Gras celebration and they are just now putting information about it on their website (it starts in less than a month). Most people have to plan their vacations much farther out than that (my husband has already had to sign up for vacation for the ENTIRE 2004 year!!) In December we will go to Disney....if we wanted to go to go to Universal I guess we'd be out of luck because they won't advertise anything about the holidays until about November.

Sorry, it's just frustrating. :Pinkbounc
