Does anyone know the height requirement for this ride? Thanks

this means my son has 10 months to grow one inch or he will one upset little dude...

I only have little girls, but my 5yo's Skechers got her onto RocknRollercoaster and Primeval Whirl in January...now if she could just grow 5" in a year, she could ride Dueling Dragons and Hulk next May which she really wants to do for some reason!!!

You must have a tall one! My son will be 7 in august and he is just 47 inches!

This is good to know...My son is 46 inches and my daughter is 43...Not that it matters, the Mummy would scare them anyway!!:p

Boy, I was ripped for this once before on another board, but when we went to Disney last year we bought my youngest a boot with a 1 1/2 inch heal that made her tall enough for space mountain. She loves roller coasters and wanted to go. She still talks about her "Space Mountain Boots". This year, I think she is within an inch or so (at 6) of being able to ride the mummy and she wants to go after seeing the previews of the ride, so we may be buying "mummy boots".

What a brave little one you have there!! :)
Mine have read all there has been to read, and are still unsure about the dark aspect and beetles.

My son is also 6, will be 7 in August. He loves anything fast and wants SO badly to ride the coasters with mom! In Feb we were at Busch Gardens and he got to ride the Scorpion--his first "real" coaster that went upside down--he was thrilled! I am sure that he will be "close enough" by Feb 2005 to squeak through, one way or another! Unfortunately, I don't think there are "hulk" boots out there--at least not any that wouldn't look like stilettoes (SP)!!lol

I would never rip you for this as I have a similar story which has actually become one of my favorite vacation memories. Long ago, when DS (now 14) was about 3 1/2, he wanted desperately to go on Splash Mountain, which was quite new at that time. We knew he'd pull up short on the height requirement. We bought him a pair of cowboy boots with heels about 1 1/2" (Just like your daughter's SM boots;) ) We had coached him not to call attention to the boots or they might not let him ride. When we got to the CM who was checking heights, he still was just a shade under the height requirement. (This was when Splash's requirement was 48" before they reconfigured and reduced it.) The CM could see how much he wanted to ride and kept telling him to stand up really straight but to no avail. At this point, DS started to cry and said out loud "And I wore my new cowboy boots and everything"
Believe it or not, the CM let him on! I was very surprised. As we exited the ride, the CM that measured him was standing at the exit waiting for us. My son, who was wearing the biggest smile I've ever seen, just went on and on about how much he loved it. The CM said he just had to let him ride, all because of the cowboy boots comment. :D He said that the cowboy boots were just so perfect for Frontierland, he couldn't refuse him. If DS had listened to mom and dad about not calling attention to the boots, he wouldn't have gotten on at all. Ah, out of the mouths of babes::yes::

My son will also be 7 in August and is 47 inches. I just think we may have a couple of shorty's. I have hope though DH is 6' and was also short as a kid. How funny. We also have till February and I am very confident that he will make the requirement.

What a funny thing--that our sons are so similar. My DH is 6'1"--I was hoping my son would take after him (I am only 5'2 1/2"). Perhaps a growth spurt will occur at some pt and he will be tall someday!

I'm with you, I think the inch should be no prob by Feb, and they will both be able to ride the majority...

Oh, my youngest loves the Dinosaur at Disney, and any rollercoaster that she can get on. My oldest who will be nine in July though, she hated Dinosaur and stated she did not want to go on the Mummy. I think she's coming around though and will give it a try.
