Less than two weeks to our arrival at Universal! My 10 year old DD is now saying she is too scared to try Revenge of the Mummy -we were really looking forward to trying this out. How scary is it for a 10 y.o. (she is a little timid) and if it is too intense is there an area for her to wait while we (myself and DH) experience the ride (possibly a gift shop!)? We have 2 way radios to minimise anyone getting lost.

Thanks

My 6 year old girl loved it! Its fine. She thought it was fine, and not scary at all.

It's not scary or intense, but it is a coaster ride with a little "air time".

My 7-year-old DD LOVED the Mummy. It's her favorite ride at Universal. She was also very timid about rides until our last trip (August). We let her decide when she was ready to try something new. Once she started riding some of the thrill rides, she wanted to try all of them. She was still too short to ride some of the big roller coasters, but she rode the Mummy about 10 times.

We saw some kids on it last week.
DW rode it multiple times and Rock-n-Roller coaster makes her cry.

There's a gift shop to the right of the mummy entrance, next to the lockers where she could wait. When you exit the ride it puts you out into that gift shop.

If she's scared of roller coasters, darkness, bugs, fire, or mummies, then she might not want to go. Just remind her that all the scary stuff (except the coaster and the fire) is fake. That could help...

My 9 year old daughter LOVED it and so did my 10 year old son. I on the other hand hated it...LOL It was a less intense version of Rock N Roller Coaster, no flips...etc. My son screamed "YEAH" the whole way through. My daughter wanted to ride it again and again. It's really based on each individual child though, as my daughter hates Tower of Terror and she cries everytime at Twister....but this she termed "awesome" when the lady in the gift shop asked her what she thought....LOL

My nine year old loved it, my six year old would prefer never to go on it again. It was a tad to scary for her, but I think it was because she was already scared from our stupid decision to go on twister prior. My oldest was initially scared of the entire concept, but I showed her the ride videos from the Universal website and some posted on previous links to get her ready, assured her it was pretend, and she wound up loving it.

Definitely have to agree....scared no, intense, yes. My DS4 wanted to ride, but was too short, but he didn't seem scared at all as we waited in the baby swap and you hear and see some of the theming in their and he was fine.
