Mum and moi take Orlando: the never-ending trip report (aka we are nuts) NEW 5/20 x4!!!

I've been looking forward to the cruise portion of your trip report! It was a pleasure getting to meet you and your mom. I hope you two had a fantastic getaway overall!

I plan to trip report at some point. I've been wading through all the pictures. I took around 4000! Eeep! I ordered about 2000.... a little more than half arrived today and I'm organizing the scrapbooking projects. It's a bit overwhelming but it will be fun to scrap it all once all the pics, albums, supplies, etc arrive. I'm looking forward to reliving it all while scrapbooking and while trip reporting here.

I LOVED your recent parade and flower and garden pics. Just amazing!!

Did you try the pineapple ice cream? I actually didn't see it while on the ship. I just noticed it in your pic. I did see strawberry and banana while on Castaway Cay but ended up missing those. When we went for ice cream they had just cleaned the strawberry and banana sections out. Vanilla was left though.

Oh! We've been using the ice cream bowls quite a bit! They're great and make us feel a bit closer to Disney and the recent vacation. Thanks!

March 14th (part 2): Our stateroom and BCF heaven

After I chowed down on my ice cream, we went to go see our stateroom!

We were on the 5th floor, forward. Our room number was 5022, which was perf because of reasons. Now, we picked category 10A, which was a deluxe inside stateroom. We paid for 10A but we got a little surprise. Right after we booked the cruise and picked out our room, we found out that it was a secret porthole room.

Disney sold these cabins as deluxe oceanview at first, but since the porthole is obstructed by like mechanical crap and such, people were complaining because they paid for the deluxe oceanview and they got the obstructed view. So Disney sells these rooms as 10A even though you have the obstructed porthole. And I have to say, the set up for the oceanview and verandah rooms is so much better than the inside staterooms. At least that is what moi thinks.

They only have the secret porthole cabins on the Magic and the Wonder and there are so many threads as to what cabins they are. You’re welcome.

Our cabin was right near the elevators and the Oceaneer Lab but it was really quiet. The only thing we could hear was crew members from across the hallway. We think that they had rooms back there but it wasn’t an issue at all.

Also, we never saw our stateroom host. Ever. Now, on the Dream, WE ALWAYS SAW HIM. He knew our name right away, stuff about us, etc. We were thinking that it may be because our hallway was a little weird….? You had our hallway and then it kinda curved and that is where we always saw their cart. And by always I mean the one time we had to track them down because for some reason they pulled the bunk down and we didn’t want it down. It was so uncomfortable too so that was not happening.

I mean, they did everything they needed to in our room. No problems there. It was just weird that we never saw them. Whatever.

Anyways…. Let’s get moving and on to pictures!

It was Mum’s birthday the day before the cruise and some friends from MA got the birthday package so they decked out our room, YO.

Here is one of the bathrooms, cause it is split bath and all.

Mum was very pleased with the lotion they gave us for some reason.

That is all of the pictures I have for now. The pictures of the secret porthole will come later because I took those like that night and I really don’t feel like finding those now. #lazy

After we checked out our stateroom, we went down to the D Lounge for the DVC member event.

We got free drinks and gifts and it was a lot of fun! We played a few games, talked about how awesome DVC is, and the CM explained some of the promotions for points going on just on the cruise. I wish.

That lasted about an hour and then we had to go to the lifeboat drill.

It was so much fun…

It only took about 20 minutes and those 20 minutes included being squished on deck 4 with a bunch of random strangers so that was cool. Wish we could have done it again.

Sarcasm, people.

Then it was time for the sail away partayyyy BOO YA!

We made our way up to deck 9 and got a spot to the right of the stage, which is right under tunnel vision, which is the giant movie screen to you non-cruisers.

EVERYONE WAS READY!

Pretty soon the activity people came out and danced and crap.

Ok, so the guy that is in the back of this picture by the woman in the orange shirt who looks so thrilled to be on the Magic, looked EXACTLY like Ryan Tedder, aka lead singer of OneRepublic. I died every single time I saw him because I was like “ITS RYAN!” He will make another appearance later….

THEN ALL OF THE CHARACTERS CAME OUT AND THERE WERE TEARS.

HOLY JSIOFHLKSHDSDJKLSADHJKLSDHKJSAH CHIP AND DALE AS SAILORS CRYING ACTUALLY CRYING.

I was crying. No lie.

I haven't been on the DIS much lately because I have been super busy, but I am all caught up. How fun that you got to spend time with your twin. Your photos are amazing as always!! The FoF photos were to die for!! Thanks for those!! We go in 17 days, so it would be fun to see you and your mom again.

Stella is our DVC agent, too and we love her. She is just so warm and friendly and we ALWAYS get a phone call from her whenever we visit WDW telling us hello and welcome home and she hopes we enjoy our trip.

March 14th (part 3): Bahamas, here we come! and hey stuffed animals

Here are like two more pics from the Sail Away Partay.

After the partay got over, WE WERE MOVING! PEACE OUT FLORIDA!

We went up to Deck 10 to check out da views of beautiful Port Canaveral.

Then I got another ice cream. Ice cream count: 2

Sorry for the crap pic but I had to capture it before the ice cream like fell off the cone because I am so great at making them.

Then we went to go check out Carioca’s and Animators Palate.

Then we went to go see AP and I basically** DIED. No lie.

I much prefer this AP over the Dream’s and the Fantasy’s. I mean, black and white are my two fave colors anyways but the whole concept art thing is just amazing on the Magic and the Wonder. This restaurant is to DIE FOR.

We headed back up to the room because Mum had a surprise waiting for her!

The same friends who got the decorations got the cake. It was really good, but so rich. And plus with all of the food we ate, we never really got to eat the cake because we were so full. Oops.

After we had a little of the cake, we went around and delivered our first gifts for our Fish Extender.

After we were done, we chilled up on Deck 9 and watched some of Enchanted.

Now, we didn’t go to the show on this night. We heard it was good but it didn’t sound appealing to moi. So we just skipped it. Maybe next time!

March 14th (part 4): Dancing with dogs and dinner in South America

While we were in one of the gift shops, I noticed the sunset outside and ran for the door.

Except it was wicked windy outside and I flashed all of Deck 4. Oops.

But I got this sooo

I went back inside because of the wind and all….

Can I have this carpet in my house or

Then we went into the atrium and Pluto was out meeting so we got in line.

When I went up to meet him, he took my hands and danced with me. Like, he twirled me and it was the most amazing thing ever. Oh Pluto ♥

I was dying.

My hand looks so awkward but OH MY GOD.

Then we got in line for Mickey. I abandoned Mum so I could go take pictures.

Mum was almost to the front of the line so I went back and met the Captain.

It was time for dinner after we met Mickey so we headed down to Carioca’s.

Now, I am a very adventurous eater and didn’t mind the food they were serving here but Mum on the other hand wasn’t so thrilled. She was glad we were getting it done and over with.

For some reason, we had to go to the desk to see about our table number. We still had the same one that was on our tickets so I don’t know what the problem was.

We were at table 6 by the way. Important info and all.

Now on DCL, they do a great job of picking out your tablemates. Is that what you even call them? I don’t know.

On our last cruise, we had awesome people at our table, and that happened again. We sat with a mom and her two boys, another mom and her daughter, and we had two extra chairs but we will get to that on the last night. The kids were all around my age and they were really nice. Now, I would rather hang out with adults than kids my age. I didn’t go to Vibe or anything because I am pretty shy anyways and making friends right on the spot and hanging out with them is not for moi. I know a lot of people like it but I would rather hang out with Mum or go around and eat and take pictures. Like in school, I have met some people that are my age that I can put up with, but that is very rare. Most teenagers I know are annoying and not for moi. So going to the Vibe is not something that I would enjoy.

I liked the people at our table though. They were really nice and the two boys go to school right near moi and the other girl and her mom were form MA. Small world.

I thought the atmosphere in Carioca’s was really nice. I loved the lantern things.

Our head waiter was Carolina. She was really nice and took great care of us for those three nights. And so did our other waiter person who gets drinks and stuff. Yeah, I don’t remember his name whatsoever. And of course, we had our other weird waiter who comes around once and that’s that and asks how everything is going. His name was Neno and he drew Nemo on our table because that is his “cousin.” Personally, why he gets a tip is beyond moi, but whatever. His artistic abilities did not earn it either.

Now, let’s get on to the food!

I got the empanada. I think Mum did too. It was really good. Spicy, but good.

Mum got the steak for her entrée, which came with a baked potato. She raved about it so I had to try it and it was SO good. Da noms.

I got the chicken, which had a really good seasoning on it. The sides on the menu were not appealing to moi so I just got rice and a baked potato.

For dessert, Mum got the carioca’s sundae or whatever it was called, which had caramelized apples and a churro. I was going to get it because churros >>> but caramelized apples are nasty to moi. And I didn’t realize my pic of it came out so bad. Ok then.

I got the strawberry cheesecake, which was ok. I just didn’t really like the texture.

After we finished up dinner, we said goodbye to everyone and then we went up to the room to change.

We decorated our door earlier in the day, and here is the finished product! We go nuts, dudes. And plus Brenda aka scrpbookr gave a stateroom mickey ear to us as part of her FE so we put that up (not pictured).

Then we went up to Deck 9 to walk around and to get a drink. It was so windy up there so we didn’t stay for too long.

………and then this happened.

But then I took a nice picture afterwards sooo

We headed back up to our room and feel asleep at almost midnight. Well I did anyways.​

March 15th (part 1): Our first morning on da Magic

I got up at 7. Mum wasn’t even awake yet so I got up and headed for da shower. Of course I was all ready first so I went out and delivered most of our day 2 FE gifts. And I bumped into Brenda aka scrpbookr quite a few times. It was so nice to finally meet you, Brenda!

I went back to the room because we only had deck 8 left to do for gifts and we were going to head up to Cabanas anyways so we were just going to deliver those then.

And I got all of the gifts delivered in like 30 minutes. #pro

I went back to our cabin and waited for Mum.

The bunk was finally put up. Thank God because I love this picture.

After Mum was all set, we decided to walk around deck 4 outside for a few. You know, to check out those god awful views of good ol Nassau.

We would not be getting off the ship this day. People chasing after you trying to braid your hair <<<<

We headed up to deck 8 to deliver those last few gifts before getting breakfast.

Stop it.

THE ROOM EVEN HAS A DOORBELL COME ON NOW

We walked up to deck 9 and got in line for breakfast.

Oh the joy of Cabanas at nine in the morning.

The crew members tell you that you do not need to stand in line, you can just go in and out of every station. Because that doesn’t create more of a mess or anything….

And since everyone and their mother are there, you can’t find a table. So we went up to Deck 10 where seagulls were attacking from every which way.

Mum went down to find silverware and drinks and found a table on Deck 9 where seagulls couldn’t get to us so I brought everything down there aka three plates, my bag, mum’s wallet, and my camera. So that was nice.

Here is our food, which was cold by then. Let’s just say Mum was really happy about that.

Everything was good, but cold. Yay.

After we ate, we went down to the Cove Café, which is for dudes 18+ so I sat right outside while Mum went in and got some coffee for both of us. They also give you a coffee card so if you buy 5 drinks, you get the 6th one free.

The life.
But let’s take that Carnival ship out of moi’s view thank you.

And oh my god we were surrounded by Carnival ships. Like ew. So I would yell “IN YO FACE” at them because that is how I roll.

We brought our coffee and crap down to deck 4 and visited the DVC desk to get out free pin because we got a thing in our room. It was a really nice pin too!

And then we went to go visit my fave restaurant because I LOVE THAT PLACE SO MUCH.

And then we just walked around the ship for a little bit. Taking everything in.

TEARSSSS.

By the time we walked around and did god knows what else, it was almost lunchtime so we went back up to deck 9.

Mum went to Boiler Bites and got a burger.

I went to Daisy’s de Lites.

I got the bagel BLT and it was really good!
