March 8th (part 1): Flower and Garden time!

First Saturday of any Epcot event = crowds. We knew that going in but whatever.

It was Flower and Garden time!

The main topiary display was really nice. I have never seen any of the others before sooo. And they added the water features which was beautiful.

We made our behind Spaceship Earth.

Minnie’s “bow” >>>>

We were starving (well mostly Mum) and she needed food right then. So we went into Electric Umbrella.

I had never been in there before and it felt like we were in Epcot 82. The atmosphere is just so weird. And I am sorry, but there were way too many CMs there. There was just a ton of them standing behind the counter doing nothing. Like, how about you go get my food thanks bye.

We split the mac and cheese burger which was just ok. The burger itself was a little dry. If you want a burger at WDW, go to Cosmic Rays the end.

After we ate, we went on over to Wonders of Life.

They had a lot of outside vendors there and we talked to one who was with the FL Audubon. They had a photography contest thing going on and we got the information.

We made our way outside after that.

We checked out the Cars area which was really cute for the little dudes. They have the best areas for kids at F&G. Like, I wanted to play in the playgrounds.

Then we went over to the Butterfly Garden. It was insanity in there. There were people everywhere and I am sorry, but I want to take pictures of the butterflies with my DSLR. Get out of moi’s way with your crappy phone.

March 8th (part 2): Topiary Central

Here are some more pictures from the butterfly garden/house/whatever it is called. It is so pretty in there and I love the fairy houses. They are so cool.

Then we went over to the Monsters play area. I really don’t know the names of anything oops.

GUYS. This playground is da bomb dot com. It is so cool and next time we are at Epcot (which will prob be like next weekend cause duh), I have to take pics of it. I was amazed at the detail of that playground. They really need to keep it up all year round. And at Hollywood Studios. Torch Honey I Shrunk the Kids crap playground and put up a bigger version of this. You're welcome, Disney.

Then I went monorail/flower crazy but that is nothing new.

Then we made our way into World Showcase aka food and flower heaven.

But first we had to stop in Duffy Central BECAUSE OF THIS

March 8th (part 3): Even more topiaries and bacon cupcakes ruin everything

I CANT DEAL

AND THEN I DIED EVEN MORE IT’S COOL

Then we went to the Smokehouse to get something to eat.

We got the pulled pork slider which was FANTASTIC. I loved the sauce on it and it was just all in all perf. I need another one soon.

And we got the piggylicious cupcake.

The frosting was great with the pretzel, but the actual cupcake was nasty.

There were giant chunks of bacon in it and it was so chewy and did not leave a good taste in your mouth. It was such a waste of money and I would never get it again.

After we ate, we continued around World Showcase.

Like where is your face.

I just find these topiaries weird. Like, why are Chip’s lips that big.

Taking pictures of these topiaries was so great because of THAT TREE. I WAS DYING OF BEAUTIFULNESS.

Well those hands are weird.

POOOOH!

And then I took pictures of pretty much every tea cup in the UK. You are so welcome.

March 8th (part 4): More flowers cause duh and Illuminations!

Cause I am ridiculous.

I am not sorry about those pictures.

Well Peter Pan is cool.

Sand for dayyyys.

I then bought the violet lemonade from Pineapple Promenade. They don’t give you a ton which is not surprising, but it was really good.

We then went into Mouse Gear and a CM was out playing a game called Epcot Expert. She had a map of Epcot and you could pick where you want to go and answer trivia questions. Of course I did it and got all of them right. I also got a certificate! Boom.

She was SUCH a good CM so we went to GR and told a Plaid. We are awesome.

We went to Club Cool for a minute and then headed back into WS.

FLOWERS AND MONORAIL AHHH.

We checked out some of the little booths they have around WS. Mum bought a picture from one that she loved of a cardinal. And then I chatted with the guy about photography.

For some reason, I love these mug-ish things.

We then walked to Japan because I needed to get my spot for Illuminations. I really didn’t need to set up at like 7:45 and could have waited at least another half hour. I was taking pictures from the balcony thing in front of Tokyo Dining. I have seen pics from up there and I fell in love with them so it needed to happen.

Another person was up there that was shooting and he had a very nice camera but was impressed with the pics I got. He was really nice and we talked to him for a bit.

After awhile, Matt found us up there and came to say hi. He was with Kimberly, who also goes to Rosen and she works at the Fort, and his friends Shelly and Scott who I think we have met before.

While we waited, we tried some frushi which was awesomeee.

I had my shutter set for 30 seconds, which I think was too long at some points. I forgot my remote at home which was heartbreaking. I need to shoot it again with my remote. Some of my pics were way too overexposed and that has to do with settings anyways but I also think 10-15 seconds would be better for next time.

After it got over, we said bye to the other photographer up there and then walked to the exit with everyone. We stopped in Art of Disney and then pretty much closed out Epcot because the BGM had stopped and like no one was around. #dislife

We said bye to everyone even though we would see them the next day…

We hopped on the tram and had SO MUCH TROUBLE finding our car.

Cause there were so many cars still there and all.

March 9th (part 1): FESTIVAL OF FANTASY PART 1!

We got to the TTC at about 11. Matt ended up being on the same monorail as us so we headed into MK and sat together for the parade.

And we got out spot first thing. It was 11:30.

People started lining up at opening. This was not a joke.

This wasn’t some crappy parade that they threw together at the last minute. People saw that from the fashion show they did and the concept art. This was legit.

We were a little past the plaza heading towards the Hub. This was our spot and WE WERE NOT MOVING.

Shelly and Scott came over to sit with us and Kimberly came eventually. She lives right next to cast parking for MK and came up through the Utilidors and ended up in Pixie Hollow. Oops. She found us eventually.

So what did those 3.5 hours include?

Eating, talking, and trying to secure our spots so idiots wouldn’t take them.

And we watched DAWM four times. Cause that is how we roll. I wanted to shoot myself, but ya know.

Oh. And we cheered for managers and random CMs because we were so bored.

And I got burned really bad on my face. That is what happens when you don’t wear any sunscreen. So I was the Tomato for a week. #devilred

And then of course 2.5 seconds before the first float arrived, some loser plopped herself like right under Matt’s tripod and we were like “I DON’T THINK SO.”

“I am surrounded by idiots.”

And of course, it was Dapper Day so that added to the crowds. It was already busy and that just made it worse. So much fun.

Ok let’s just get to the parade pictures. Four updates later….

IT WAS PACKED. This is what happens when you put out a good parade, Disney.

March 9th (part 4): FESTIVAL OF FANTASY PART 4!

Hi Minnie you are perf ok bye.

TEARS. EVERYWHERE.

BEST PARADE I HAVE EVER SEEN. Like, I want to see it every single weekend. It is just so good and so amazing and so well detailed and so awesome and so everything that I can’t deal with it. I have seen it two more times since this and I WILL NEVER GET ENOUGH OF IT. Like, I would go every day if I could. GO SEE IT THE END.

After I fell over and cried, we said bye to everyone and headed into the park. I had to do a portrait assignment for school and that was not fun at all. Those pictures will not be appearing here…

I did find Duffy’s poncho though in Storybook Circus!!! Of course I bought it and the CM said to moi “is this for a pet or something?”

Um what.

We saw this little girl after dressed up as Jane and SHE WAS SO CUTE.

Before we left, we saw this lovely view. Wow. Amazing.

Ok, they aren’t going to be the best since all of my updates are pictures and moi rambling anyways, BUT, they will be pretty awesome. And I have a ton of them. You’re welcome. Let’s just hope that Flickr cooperates. *fingers crossed*

Before we actually start what happened on this day, I just wanted to give some info on like the background info I guess. The prologue. Whatever.

We booked this cruise on our last Disney cruise, which was August of 2011. We had the cruise scheduled for August 2013 and then like, oh I don’t know, we moved somewhere.

We were scheduled to leave on like the 1st of August and that wouldn’t be possible as we were driving that day soooo.

We rescheduled it again for March 2014. Down here, I have spring break instead of break in February and April, which was kind of ridiculous but whatever. And since March is one of the cheaper months in the cruise industry and it ain’t hurricane season so BOO YA. CRUISE TIME!

March 14th (part 1): CRUISE TIME WHOOP WHOOP​

We left our house at about 10:30. Of course our GPS totally messed up on the way to Port Canaveral and our SunPass didn’t work. Biggest LOL ever.

Pretty soon we were seeing this and then Mum screamed at the top of her lungs when she saw the ship and scared the crap out of moi.

We got to parking at about 12. Parking directly at the port is ridiculous and way too much money so we were parking about a mile away.

We had to take a shuttle over but it was not a big deal at all. But they dropped all of the idiots off first for Royal Caribbean and we were the only ones left for DCL. Oh well. #dislife

When we got off the shuttle, we had our own porter to take our bags. #DCLlife

We headed right into the terminal and into security, which took all of two seconds.

AHHHHH!

There was like no one up there. I mean, we got there at about 12:30 and you would think a lot of people would be checking in. Not so much. It was DEAD.

Works for moi.

We waited in line for all of two seconds and then we checked in. It only took about 5 minutes.

DYING DYING DYING.

Of course they have to take that god awful picture of you when you board. Like, why would you want to buy that. I don’t even know.

BUT THEN WE BOARDED AND THEY SAID “WELCOME THE ________ FAMILY!” AND THERE WERE TEARS.

Nhkjsdhjkshdjkshadjk.

Since it was lunchtime and all, we headed up to Cabanas.

STOP.

PASSED THIS ON THE WAY. *dead*

It wasn’t crazy in there unlike when we went on the Dream when we boarded. That was awful.

Everything was really good and we enjoyed our lunch very much.

Then we went to look at desserts cause duh.

We just got a brownie and a cookie. I have to say, those cookies are awesome.

Mum also got a bahama mama which has god knows what in it. She loved it though.

And you could keep the glass! OOOH AHHH.

After we finished up, we went to Eye Scream duh.

Ice cream count: 1

And btw it is my twin's birthday today!!! Go on over to her TR and wish her a happy birthday!
