My husband and son are going over to the dark shadowy place for a couple of days, so my daughter and I are going to have some time together.

We won’t have park tickets or a car, so a Disney resort would be our best option. We’d like to maybe get our nails done, and just have a lovely girlie day.

My daughter is 7 and really into princesses so would love her to Be one for the day. The tea party was a conderation, but it a bit out of our price range.

So just wondering if anyone has any good ideas for us :-)

If they're going to a park, I'd add days to my tickets and go to the MK for some girly fun. BBB, visits to the princesses, parade watching. It would be a great girls' day.

We have a three week pass that begins a few days after, so will probably have a girls park day at some point too :-)

Since it sounds like you are staying on-site, remember that a mother-daughter day at Disney Springs full of shopping, and "grown up" meals (ask your waiter to make a "Shirley Temple" for your daughter; it's a fancy soda pop drink based on 7-Up or Sprite) might be a lot of fun as well!

You don't have to buy anything while shopping - just going around to all of the stores and "window shopping" could be fun!

There is a Bibidi Bobidi Boutique at Disney Springs where she could get an "official" princess makeover, complete with photo session after, or you could just take along all of the things to make her a Princess in the Hotel room, and then go to Disney Springs, and do a "Photo shoot"!

You could also get mother-daughter Henna tattoos (for a fee); that is a long-standing tradition with my daughter and I whenever we visit WDW! You can find Henna artists at Disney Springs, the Morocco Pavilion in World Showcase/Epcot, and at Animal Kingdom Park.

This is our henna from the Morocco Pavilion on our last trip!

At Disney Springs, and many of the Resorts, you can have your caricature drawn (for a fee)

If she likes to collect things, you can bring along quarters and pennies, and find all of the smashed penny machines at Disney Springs, and then visit some of the Resorts, and make smashed pennies there too! (The easiest Resorts to visit from Disney Springs are Port Orleans Riverside, Port Orleans French Quarter, and Old Key West - all of those are a lovely boat cruise to and from Disney Springs!

Finally, you can go to the movies, or go bowling at Disney Springs as well, and the Lego Store might keep her busy for a minute or two!

I hope you have a wonderful time together - my daughter and I go on "girls only" trips to WDW now, and she is 24 years old!
