Multiple Trips, Magicbands and FP+

Hello-

I have been researching, but am not sure I have figured out what I need to do. I have a reservation at the YC in March for which I have configured my Magicbands for the reservation. I have not linked the tickets yet because I am waiting to get them in the mail.

But, I will be travelling to WDW in February as well with a different person and staying offsite. We each have old park hopper tickets with days left that I would like to use.

My question: for the February trip, do I need to buy Magicbands and link those tix to the bands so that we can do FP+? Or, is there anyway to set up MDE for the February trip so that things are independent from the March trip?

You don't need Magic Bands to obtain or use FP+, so no need to purchase them for your February trip. All you need to do is link your old park hopper tickets to your MDE account and you will be able to schedule FP+ up to 30 days prior to visiting a park. You will need the plastic RFID tickets at the parks to use your FP+ however. So if your old park hoppers are already on plastic RFID cards, you will be good to go. If not, simply bring your old park hopper tickets to guest services at your first park and they can issue the plastic card. Linking your old tickets and traveling in February won't affect your March trip.
