Multiple small contracts

My partner and I enjoy staying at different resorts and we were are trying to buy one 160 point resale contract first and then two smaller 75 point ones. Is there any drawback to buying two small direct contracts instead of one larger one? Are their closing costs when purchasing direct? How much is the discount for people that are already members to add on more points? Thank you

You will pay more for two contracts…it’s about $250 to $300 more?

Disney does charge closing costs and it depends on the size of what you are buying.

The drawback of doing two 75 point contracted outside the closing cost extra, would be the loss of memgerhsip extras if you sold one.

You can ask to waive title insurance when purchasing direct from Disney. That will help offset some of the cost of breaking it up into small contracts. I would recommend 3x50 to give you as much flexibility and liquidity as possible.

Typically closing is $500 to $700 for a contract…but you’d pay that additional if you split into two 75 contracts.

A drawback would be that purchase incentives aren't typical for 75 point contracts. Like right now if you buy Polynesian if you purchase 150 pts, they will take off $10/pt. But there is no extra discount for 75 points.

You get the 150 point incentive wether you buy 1x150 points, 2x75 points, or 3x50 points.

I think they might be trying to do 75 points at separate resorts, jumping between the multiple threads it’s hard to keep track. If they are trying to do 150 split among resorts, they wouldn’t get any pricing incentives if each contract is too small to qualify on its own
