Each room is a separate reservation. You have two adults. You will have to register one adult in one room, the other adult in the other, and request connecting rooms. The connecting rooms cannot be guaranteed. No matter what they tell you, there is no guarantee of connecting rooms, regardless of the makeup of the party.
