Multiple Rooms In One Package

Is there some way to book a package online that includes 2 rooms? Or will I have to call in to book? We have 2 adults and our 17yo DS, and DS will be staying in a separate room from us. Would I have to actually book the 2 rooms for me and my husband, or does Disney not have a problem with a 17yo having a room? My TA friend told me that we would have to book 2 separate packages, 1 for 2 adults and 1 for 1 adult (does a 17yo qualify as an adult???). Is this at all correct? Why in the heck does this have to be so confusing??!!

This is a great question that I'd be curious about also................looking at a family vacation and we'll be six. Only the AoA fit the bill at a reasonable price.

A 17-year old cannot be the lead guest on a room (you have to be 18 to be a lead guest at WDW). I would call in and see if they will book two rooms under one reservation number. They have done it in the past, but there have been some changes lately and I'm not sure if they will do this anymore. If not, yes, you would need to book 1 room with 1 adult and 1 room with 1 adult and 1 child (age 17). Ask to link the reservations and ask for connecting rooms if it is important to you to have a connecting inner door. Just know, connecting will only be a request. OR you could book an AoA or ASMu suite, a Ft. Wilderness cabin or a 1 bedroom villa to have separate sleeping areas and not have to book 2 rooms.

Booking more than 1 room requires separate packages. You can still request to have the rooms next to eachother and everything will show up on 1 MDE when adding the other reservation number. But that also means a $200 deposit must be made for each room.

I got 4 rooms under the same package...that was $800 in deposits ($200 per room), 4 separate reservation numbers, and every room needed someone over the age of 18. All ressies are in my MDE.

Unless I'm reading it incorrectly, I think the OP is asking if they can book 2 rooms under one reservation number. The rooms you booked just happened to be the same type package, but you made 4 separate reservations.

We are a family of six and I had to do two reservations with two deposits.

We have a reservation for 2 rooms at POP for a family of 4--2 adults and 2 kids (ages 16 & 13) next month. Ours is room only and I called to make the reservation, but it is under one reservation number and they said that the way it is booked, I am guaranteed connecting rooms. We do not exceed the room max of 4 per room and the breakdown of the rooms does show 1 adult and 1 child in each room.

When I booked, I asked if all rooms could be under the same reservation number and I was told no. I think it had something to do with the free dining, but I'm not 100% sure. Sorry if I was not clear.

Disney doesn't guarantee connecting rooms despite what a phone CM says. Just something to keep in the back of your mind in case you don't get connecting rooms when you arrive, though they'll try their best to accommodate the request.

Think this thread is just one more example of *it all depends on who you talk to*. One CM may book two rooms under one reservation number, while another will say it isn't possible.

But it is important to know that they can not guarantee connecting rooms no matter what they tell you on the phone, or even in your confirmation. There are many, many reports here where people were guaranteed connecting rooms and did not get them when they checked in. It is not possible. It is even a possiblity of being on a different floor or even a different building. And as the others have said, each room must have an over 18 year old adult on the room reservation. You can not book a room in your 17 year old sons name at Disney.
They expect that you will stay in one room and your husband will stay in the second room, if you book 2.

We are could all fit in one room so I don't think it has to do with room occupancy.

I was surprised when the CM said they would guarantee connecting rooms because this was not the case when we've booked multiple rooms in the past with friends. I believe its only something they guarantee for families with children going into the second room. This is our first time doing this, so we'll see what happens at check-in, but the guarantee of connecting rooms was even noted when I did online check-in. Here's a screen shot

No matter what they tell you on the telephone connecting rooms are NOT guaranteed. They do require that one adult (you) will be in the first room, and a second adult (your DH) will be in the second room. 2 13 YO and 1 11 YO can not be in a room alone. If it works out and they are able to meet your request you'll be fine. But know, it is possible they can not.

Be very careful. It has happened that people ended up with both rooms cancelled when they listed themselves on two rooms at the same time.

And no, no matter what the drop down box states, connecting rooms are never guaranteed. The fine print, if you read it all, will say as much. Nothing is guaranteed, not even that the resort you booked will have room for you. Disney will not allow children to be in a room without one person over the age of 18 staying it is as well. If you show up and they are not able to meet your request for connecting rooms, an adult will have to sleep with the children.

Odds are good you will get connecting rooms, but it is not 100% guaranteed.

I am staying CL and have had several conversation with the IPO CM's and also the regular ones that answer the phone at the main number.

Will be very annoyed if I get there and my rooms are cancelled. I'm arriving at MCO at 9:45 am so if that does happen they will have some time to make it right.

But re reading your post, you do not exceed the maximum occupancy of 1 room.
I hope it works for you - but there is a policy that there must be 18 yo in each room, where possible. You all can fit in one room

I have done a package the same way.

2 connecting rooms at POFQ with dining package all under one reservation number with one deposit and all information for both rooms on all the key cards. 2 adults, 3 kids.
