Multiple resort reservations-separating, combining

So, I made a five night reservation back in February.

When discounts were released, I called. Nothing could be applied.

In the time since, I have found discounted rooms for the two nights on the end of the trip, but only as two separate reservations.

I know there is a possibility that when I call I can get a continuing reservation and not move rooms, but there is also a chance we will have to move. Not ideal, but for the savings I'll take it.

Of the remaining first three nights, only the middle night-the second- has a discounted room available of the appropriate type. I have been keeping all the reservation room types the same for obvious reasons.

So, I am wondering, how complex would it be to book that second night discounted, and either split the original reservation or rebook the third night at rack rate. Yes, I've checked, there is rack availability for the room type needed.

All told, I will then have 5 reservations for 5 nights at the same resort for the same room type. Two at rack rate (first & third) and three discounted (second, fourth, fifth). Yes, this seems insane to me but that's how their reservation system and discounts work.

What are the odds that I could get a continuing reservation? Any similar experience or advice? Should I just leave it at three instead of going for the discounted second night?

You won't be able to split the original. You will have to make new bookings for every piece of the stay, with individual deposits.

I figured. I've already paid off most of it. I was just trying to see if there was any way around doing five separate reservations, because that just seems wild to me.

Oh, wow. I understand wanting to save money, but I wouldn't do this. You will spend your entire vacation checking in and out (even if you don't have to change rooms, you still have to technically do this) and worrying you might have to switch.

Well, I haven't canceled/altered the original reservation yet-only made two additional one night reservations- so I can still bail on the idea. The money makes a difference though, and I am trying to ascertain just how much turbulence this could cause. Really wish I could comprehend how the system works- find it baffling but give it the benefit of the doubt. Once the phones open later next week, I might try to get cast member insight, but wanted to cover my bases/due diligence on here first. Wish I could just have one reservation with three nights discounted and two nights full price, but that isn't possible so here we are. ;)
