Multiple reservations to fit our party

For nearly all of our meals we were only able to get reservations in smaller groups. We're a party of 9. One dinner we have 3 sets of 3 - all 5 minutes apart. For another we are 4, 4, 1 - those are all 10 minutes apart. Are we going to have a hard time getting seats for everyone together, or is Disney used to this and they'll put us all together without issue. One of these reservations is for Thanksgiving dinner, so that one I really want to make sure we're all together.

Having different reservations means you'll have to take what you can get. You can go a little earlier and request to be seated near each other but there is no guarantee all of you will be seated next to each other.

We have done this for years and only when we a party of 12 at Ohana were we in 2 tables. Of course at Sci Fi we need separate cars but they are always near each other. We are usually a party of 8 or 10 and never have a problem getting on one table. It does depend on the restaurants. We tend to go to restaurants that have big tables.

You will have to ask if you can be seated together when you check in, but since you are there during the very busy Thanksgiving week when most restaurants are fully booked it will be harder. While the hosts/hostesses at the podium will do their best, there is no guarantee. You currently have 3 separate reservations for tables that fit the party sizes you booked so there will have to be a large 10 top or smaller tables adjacent to one another that become available at the same time. Expect to wait longer or to be told it isn't possible because it is Thanksgiving week in which case you might be seated at tables near each other or on opposite sides of the room.

If you want a better chance of being seated together keep checking online for a reservation of 9 or 10. At least that way the restaurant will know that you are a large party. Everyone, no matter how young, eating or not, needs to be included on the reservation because of fire code regulations so check for 9 first, then if nothing comes up try for 10. As long as at least one person shows up for the reservation, you will not be charged for the "missing" 10th person.

Thanks all. I've been checking non stop since our 180 day mark, but even calling, split reservations is the best I've been able to get. The woman on the phone told me, "Thanksgiving is really rough, it was really tough last year too."

I heard BOG is seat yourself for lunch, is this true? We have split reservations for that now too.
