Multiple Reservations at the same time

We will be a party of 10 coming to WDW this November. It appears to be nearly impossible to get ADR's with this many people. So, our solution will likely be to split the reservations up into smaller groups (ie: two parties of 5) for the same time and asked to be seated together.

My question is this: Can I make these 2 different reservations for the same time/same restaurant using just my own MDE account? Or, will I need to create a separate account for someone else (say, my husband) to make the 2nd reservation under?

I haven't tried recently but in the past, MDE would only allow you to make one reservation at the same time from the same account. I was able to take care of that by calling dining reservations and explaining the situation. Not ideal by any means...

You can make two reservations for the same time under one MDE if on the first reservation you change who “manages” the reservation you will be able to book a second reservation at the same time. If you forget to change the “manager” of the reservation on the first reservation you won’t be able to book the second reservation without calling.

Ah! I tried exactly the opposite of that... keeping me the manager on the first and then trying to add another for my daughter, which didn't work. Good information. Thank you!
