Multiple reservations at Oga's?

I wasn't even planning on doing HS in October, but got a reservation for Oga's and decided to go.

As for the hoarding, booking multiple reservations for Oga's for multiple days that you have no intention on using is flat out rude, and obnoxious. You know what days you will most likely go to HS. You have a time limit of 45 minutes therefore you could book fastpasses around the reservation easily. No excuse to obnoxiously book multiple reservations for this.

We booked a 12:45 for Friday 11/8 and then 9:20 am for Monday 11/11 - I figured I would keep one based on the FPs we get in September. It looks like we will just be getting a drink but I figured it's a way into GE if lines are crazy. I did notice that the first reservation slot is 6:00 am thru November. Wondering how others did...

My 11/8 reservation is at 12:45 too! :flower1:

I personally want to try more than 2 drinks at the place, but guess what, I can't because we are limited to a maximum of 2 per visit. Well I shouldn't be told I can only drink 2 drinks and then have to leave. I can easily drink 3 in 45 minutes if I wanted to. So I booked multiple visits to try all the drinks, and I plan on using them. I'm going with different people each time more than likely unless plans change later on. Like another poster pointed out, bars usually charge between 10 and 20 bucks for a good cocktail when you go out so these are inline pricewise.

So after trying for two day and getting the ADR I think I am going to cancel.
I could only get Breakfast and the pickings are slim for non-alcoholic drinks and the fact that I have an infant and a 3yo is making me not want to go with the seating arrangements.
I was to be honest mainly using this ADR as a reason to get into the land maybe quicker, but think I'll just take my chances.

The majority of ppl who have multiple ADRs are waiting to see how their fastpasses fall into place and then they will cancel the ADRs that dont fit.
Not cool.

Why is that "not cool"? Isn't that how planning works? ADRs are available before FP window for all dining experiences. I know we have made ADRs for character meals and then canceled them or rescheduled based on the FPs we were able to get. Oga's is listed as a dining experience so the same booking requirements apply. People book multiple hard to get dining reservations and then cancel every day - that's why we check regularly for things we want and why people here checked back and were able to get the ADR they wanted. Just because it's Oga's doesn't mean people are hoarding or humble bragging - don't we get excited about every ADRs we get? I'm jazzed the we have GF Cafe, too :)

I don't really get it to be honest. Why multiple ADRs? Are these the same people that had to have the rose gold mouse ears? It's not even a restaurant. I can understand going maybe once, but multiple times during one trip? For a $14 beer?
We have 3 reservations during our stay because we are going to Galaxy's Edge 3 times. This guarantees us a spot inside. I have 2 afternoons and one evening booked, because I want to see the land during the day and night. I also want to try more than 2 drinks. I wouldn't go a restaurant 3 times in one week, but this is different.

And yes, I do have the Rose Gold mouse ears and Spirit Jersey, too! 💁‍♀️

There are no reservations for 2 on the days we need in December , but multiple times are available for a party of 1 on lots of days.
I ended up booking a party of 1 & my husband booked a party of 1 for 5 minutes later. I figure as you aren’t seated this should work.

We went to Oga's in Disneyland earlier this month and here are some notes from our experience.

There are some booths, but the majority of people will be standing at high bar tables or at the bar itself. You don't get to choose because when you are taken into Oga's the CM will take you to your pre-assigned place. Smaller groups will share tables or booths. We were in a booth that had parties of 2 and 4 already seated. When they left they were replaced with 3 parties of 2 each.

If ordering two drinks our server wanted both of them ordered at the same time, although she brought them out one at a time. Payment was when the first drink was brought to the table.

We saw some children, but I don't think strollers were not allowed.
Thank you for sharing your experience! We're a group of 6 so maybe we'll get a booth! 🤞 My mother in law just had knee replacement surgery so I'm expecting her to complain about standing lol.

Imagine if on a Saturday night at a brand new movie, someone blocked off an entire row seats because they had a friend coming to join them and they weren't sure where their friend would want to sit. It's not "planning"--it is in fact, the opposite of planning: not committing to a plan because you don't want to run the risk of it being imperfect. But doing so at the expense of everyone else who arrived earlier than your friend and wants a seat. Don't be a jerk, make a plan, book ONLY THE ADRS YOU PLAN TO USE (I am talking here about the people who book throwaway ADRs to have the luxury of more options; not people who actually want to go more than once) and if your fastpasses aren't perfectly timed, relax and just roll with it like everyone else who has the courtesy not to be selfish.

There is a chance it might not, unfortunately. As others have said, it is not like a regular bar or even Be Our Guest where you seat yourself: you are walked to a specific assigned spot or seat at the bar. I imagine if you explained it they might try to accommodate, but if they don't have two spaces together it might be an issue. I'd keep trying for a table for two if I were you.

I plan to keep trying to modify to a party of 2 if possible. Otherwise, we will check in together to try & get the same area.
If not, it’ll be a very short visit to check it out inside.

1) there are no fastpasses in Galaxy's Edge right now, that's patently false.

2) Not everyone knows exactly which day they are going to the parks. YOU may, but that's not the case for everyone. Not everyone has the luxury of being able to visit HS more than once in a trip, either.

They didn't say GE had FPs.

I did notice that, however they may not have realized that the reservation at Oga's is what we are hoping gets us into the land, or that no FP are available in GE. "booking fastpasses around the reservation" doesn't compute any other way to me, but I may be missing something.

Makes perfect sense to me. I have one reservation at Oga's for 4:45. Now I know when to book my HS FPs.

I am aware that there are no GE fast passes...I never said that there were. I was referring to all of the people hoarding obscene amounts of adrs for Oga's just because they can.

We booked on multiple days because we are going to have one opportunity to visit any disney park this time around, and we aren't sure which day is going to work yet - fastpasses won't solve that (obviously we don't have those booked yet either)

It's unrealistic to expect people to NOT be upset when the see people posting about their ADR hoarding, especially if it's the same time they're going and can't get ADR's. I've seen it many times over the years I've been here.

This is my 30th wedding anniversary trip, so I completely understand trying to make it a special trip. I'm sure a lot of people have a special trip coming up also.

Another Disney fail .... this will be the Be Our Guest of our time, except much worse. Venue is small, it doesn't require a meal to enjoy so folks will be booking as many as the system allows.

Disney knew that at the moment this will likely be the most popular spot in SWGE and the hardest ADR to get. They knew how many SW fans were focused on getting in on their trip. They know lots were waiting to visit until SWGE opened, and this was part of their vacation plans. They should have adjusted the software to only allow ONE ADR for Ogas per MDE. Sure folks can set up another but at least make them work for it booking and canceling. Give everyone a fair chance at least.

I have a feeling that the good preplanning regarding the opening of SWGE in DL, the good press, the feeling you weren't packed in like sardines, the ability to do everything ............. will be false hope for what will happen at WDW. Reservations for special things will be in high demand and there are going to be plenty of upset guests who don't even realize they need a reservation to get a drink at all.

DISCLAIMER: I am going next week, I have Ogas as part of my AP reservation. I am not trying to get another reservation for later at this time.

The rest of HS does have FP, however. And most likely there will be a time limit for people to stay in SWGE. In Disneyland this year there was a 4 hour time limit to remain in the land when they opened. It's not like people will be camping in there all day.
2) Not everyone knows exactly which day they are going to the parks. YOU may, but that's not the case for everyone. Not everyone has the luxury of being able to visit HS more than once in a trip, either.
We are only visiting HS once also. If you are only going to HS once, why keep multiple ADR's for other days? When I checked all the days of my trip yesterday for availability, I found one day/time that I didn't have another park day scheduled and I chose that day for HS. I didn't even look at other days that I had already scheduled a different park.

Any way you slice and dice it, hoarding ADR's is not a popular thing here. YOU may have your reasons for doing it and they may make perfect sense to you. But not everyone will see it the same way. Especially because of the extreme popularity of SWGE in general and that it will most likely be difficult for people to even set foot in the land.

Same (except for the rose gold mouse ears and spirit jersey). I also want to get all the souvenir mugs, assuming they have them. They aren't on the menu yet, which is worrying me a little. I also go to Trader Sam's and the Nomad Lounge at least twice a trip.
