multiple reservation

We will be arriving at the AKL lodge early in the evening on the 17th, if there are no flight delays. We have two separate reservations because the rates change after the first night. My question is - if we are unable to get a 'perfect' room when we check in the first night, and can get a better room when we check out and then check back in the next night, will the hotel move our bags for us? We will be checking out and checking in early in the morning because we have PS at cindys and need to be out early. We thought about staying off site the first night, but because we need to be at the MK early in the morning we don't want to have to get up in the dark to move to the AKL before heading off to the park. So if we do change rooms, will they move our bags ( assuming we have them all packed and ready to go)? thanks

I've never done this, but I'm sure all you have to do is call bell services on your in-room phone, and they will come and collect your bags! You have to be in the room, though.

thanks, but Iam not sure when we will be in the room. We have 8:00 PS at cindy's so we will have to check out and then check back in before we leave for the park. If we are happy with our room from the first night then there is no problem. But if we want to move to a hopefully better room, we can leave all our bags packed, but will be gone. Well, I guess the best is to hope for our request to be filled on the room for the first night.

We have checked out and checked back in, but did not change rooms. You might try calling the front desk before you even leave home and ask them their policy. If you must change rooms, I know you can have them store luggage until you return, worst case senario.

I don't see the problem here. About fifteen minutes before you're ready to leave for the day, have the bags packed and call for bell services. While one person waits in the room for bell services, the other goes to the desk to do the check-out/in. Bell services will take the bags and store them for you. When you return later in the day, call bell services and have them bring the bags to the new room.
