Multiple PS' in one nite?

If you want my opinion...someone who only gets to go to WDW once every 6 or 7 years :) Having 3 PS within one half hour is a bit over the top. If you really don't know what you will be feeling like that evening then go with CP as it has a wide variety of options! Just my opinion.
In response to some of the other posts...I think some people may feel touchy because some of us who plan our trips only get a trip once a blue moon and others get to go 4 or 5 times a year (which is great for them). It is easy to not feel like you have to micromanage a trip when you have been 25 times. As for those who are going for the first time...if they are lost with the whole PS thing or how to navigate their trip they have to take the teensiest bit of responsibility for that. There are multiple books, websites, DVD's and magazine articles all over telling people how to plan a WDW trip and what things are necessary. True there may not be other vacations exactly like this one out there, but you can bet your sweet bippy if I am spending $5000 on a vacation I am going to find out everything I can about the place I am going whether it is Kalamazoo or WDW.

Just wondering if its possible to make multiple PS' for the same nite? Example:

May 10 - MK
5:00 pm @ CP
5:30 pm @ CRT
6:00 pm @ LTT

Don't mean to sound greedy or unethical with PS. This way you can keep your options open depending on your mood that night. It guess at the end of the day, it becomes a no show (no cancellation) for 2 PS'.

Thanks in advance for your comments/replys. :sunny:

I could understand maybe having 2 if they were at different parks if you weren't sure you were going to MK or Epcot that day but 3 different restaurants at the same park for within 30 minutes of each other? Just pick one.

I am feeling that I have to overplan this year because we are sponsoring my BIL and his family at SoG. I don't enjoy having to do it. I also don't feel bad if I fail to cancel a PS because it does leave an opening for someone else. Many first timers pick up a guide book and take the admonitions to overplan with a grain of salt. There is no where else that you will go that you need to plan to that extent except for car rentals and accommodations and a few attractions like Tour 1, Heart Castle, Alcatraz. Is., snorkeling excursions on cruises, etc. My preference would be to leave 40% of the seating available for same day PS's or walk ins but since that's not the case one has no other choice to book.

I think that PS should only apply to 60% of the seating and there should be seating left for walk ins. I have been going to WDW for 25 years.

I agree 100%. I can't plan all my meals that far in advance (I can't even decide what to have for dinner tonight!), and Disney loses lots of money from the sit-down meals I might have had when I just grab something at counter service. What happens to people who make "spur of the moment trips"? Some of them will want to eat in the nicer sit-down places, too.

Having said that, I have NEVER had to wait more than 15 minutes as a walk up, and I've waited longer than that with a PS.

I've made only two PS's for my trip next week, one for Boma and one for Chefs de France because I have plans that involve being in those areas at the times my of my PS's. For my other meals I'll "wing it".

I think we all need to keep in mind that with the MYW dining plan, more people will be eating in the sit-down restaurants. Whether or not you feel you should be able to walk up and get a table is a moot point. PSs are going to be almost a requirement, particularly at busy times or popular restaurants. The world is not going to stop turning to meet the needs of people who don't make plans.

Now, is having more than one PS for a particular meal rude and selfish? IMHO it's not as long as you cancel it. Personally, I think having 3 within such a short time span is a little over-the-top. Pick two, make your decision that morning, and let the other one go.

Once, I made a PS for two breakfasts at CRT (two separate days), and two different days for dinner at CM. We used both PS for CRT, and cancelled one of the CM before the PS date. For me, planning is a big part of the fun. I am getting antsy about our Oct trip, because I would like to know the park hours before I make all my PS arrangements. I like to make my CRT bkfast and CP lunch PS on two separate days that they have EE at MK. If the hours/schedules are not out, how do I "guess" which days to make the PS for? I would hate to make more than one PS for CRT, knowing how in demand it is. Maybe I'll just make both for lunch and go at opening...

I was considering changing some PS's and going to different places. When I called to check and see if I could get PS for the dates/times I wanted, as she pulled them up if it matched she went ahead and put in the PS. So I had multiple PS for some nights. However, I did cancel the other PS, but I had to remind her at the end of the call because she forgot.

I know some PS require credit card confirmation, so if you no show, isn't there a charge that gets applied?

Since you asked, I think the right thing to do (not the convenient or easier thing to do) is to pick the one you will most likely attend & cancel the other two.

It is up to you in the end, but how would you feel if you tried to get a ps for somewhere you wanted to dine & they had none available because others double or triple booked? JMHO

I don't really have any issue or problem with making multiple PS's UNLESS those PS's are for large parties. If you had 3 PS for some really popular restaurants and they were for 12 people... that's a lot of space to take up.

And I know several people out there that try for weeks to get seats at CRT, and I'm sure they would be upset to discover that all this time there have been a bunch of people out there that have those valuable PS's and don't intend to use them. Luckily, I haven't encountered that problem yet.

Since PSs are limited, I think it's selfish and greedy to try to guarantee yourself seating at three different times because you're not quite sure you know what time you want to eat, and denying at least two other parties of the luxury of securing even one spot ahead of time.

Also, I have some PS's on different days for the same restaurant just in case we happen to change plans or the weather affects us. But as soon as I know what we're doing I will make the cancellation - this can be done at any guest services locations, right?

Here is something that bothers me about the whole PS system...It certainly doesn't favor anyone who does not buy the hopper option on their ticket...

With the new MYW Dining option, you need to really book as far as 90 days in advance to get into some of the most popular resteraunts without having to play the call-back-try-again game....

However, they do not release the Extra Magic Hours schedule 90 days in advance....Most people who have base tickets may plan which park they will visit for the day ( and in some cases, that will determine where they eat ) around which park which has the magic hours for that particular day.... So, possibly in that case, I could see making a couple of reservations at different parks until you are sure of the one you will be visiting ( which should be way before your trip ) and then cancelling the other...

I hope that Disney Dining has a system to keep that from happening. If they don't and people start doing that it will become impossible to get PS.

Having said that, I don't know when you are going but we were there last week and had no problem changing our PS arrangements as our plans changed. I made several changes in times, days, etc... and they were always able to accommodate my requests. I realize that this was not a busy time and I might not have been as successful in the summer.

INCOMING!!!!!! :scared1: OP did you have a CLUE as to the can of whoop a** that you were opening?!!

Can you? Yes. Should you? No. You are talking about making 3 TS CSs in the same park at very close times. Its not as though the 3 restaurants that you listed are distant from anywhere in MK nor is the food very different. Look at the menus on AllEars and pick one. Its the polite thing to do.

Here is my "psychic" prediction: Due to people making overlapping PSs and having no shows, Disney is going to start making EVERYONE with a PS put down a credit card and will charge a no show fee if PSs aren't cancelled w/in a specific time frame (like 24 hrs). Its already done at CRT and HDD. It is also done for large groups. I had to make PSs for our group of 15, so my credit card is down for some big bucks!

Its sad that its going to come to this.
