Multiple Moonlight Parties in the same season with different contracts?

Can members with multiple contracts book more than one Moonlight party per season in 2025 or is the 1 per season rule linked to the member themselves and not each individual contract?

It’s based on the membership and the member.

Now, owners with multiple memberships, might be able to register using different membership numbers with a different owner being the one going.

Remember each membership has to qualify for Membership Extras aka blue card to double dip on MM. If you have a Dec use year that is resale and not grandfathered in and a qualified June use year only the June use year would be eligible.

It would be nice if people went only once per season (even if they qualify with multiple direct memberships) so that more members can attend.
We don't fall in this camp, so won't benefit, but can also see why someone would use it if they are allowed. For example, if you can only do summer (kids out of school) - you could get two summer and skip the other 2 (or 3 seasons).

Given that MM is limited capacity, there's no cause to be greedy. Spread the DVC love and give more families the opportunity to attend MM.

Yes, when there are other members who can't get into MM because the capacity limit is reached.
Hypothetical here:
Say you are able to book a really hard to get room that you really enjoy staying in, you then in a few weeks/months, somehow you are able to book the same room again. Should you forgo the reservation because someone else wouldn’t be able to get it, and you already did earlier?

Not the same situation at all.

I disagree. Your premise on the previous post is that there is a capacity limit. High demand rooms in high demand seasons also have a capacity limit. Only so many that can be booked and far more people want it. Same as the spots for MM events. Boils down to supply and demand.

It goes back to underlying trends we see everywhere (walking, spec renting, MM slots for more than you need, attending multiple events). And there are two camps: “if you can do it then it’s not wrong, if it was wrong, I wouldn’t be able to do it”, or “just because you can, doesn’t make it right”

I was merely asking a question. The fact that it doesn’t fit the narrative you’re pursuing is another thing.

We're talking about a free benefit that's offered to some DVC members where there's a very limited number of events each year with a very limited attendance. You're talking about hotel rooms that any DVC member can book any time of the year regardless of their membership. Sorry, that's not the same thing at all. And that's the end of my discussion in this thread. If you want to continue to argue, feel free, but I'm done with it.

While it might be nice for DVC to keep it one per year, they have not and as long as they allow it, the owners should be allowed to play within the rules.

And, while you don’t agree that getting a hard to get hotel room more than one trip a year isn’t the same, the result is the same….someone wanting something is shut out because someone else got it more than once.

Thank you to those who confirmed for me. I didnt intend to cause a disagreement. I only have one contract myself but have a friend that is fortunate enough to own multiple contracts and she was wanting clarification. I know I worked hard and had to save for my contract and personally feel with the combined buy in price of DVC direct and yearly dues that all members should be free and excited to use any perks they qualify for without judgement. I wish everyone a lifetime of as many parties as they can attend :)

Glad you received the clarification you were looking for.

We're just havin' a healthy discussion 🙃

The number of owners who have two memberships, that both qualify for DVC-Y, and who manage to obtain reservations to two events in the same season is probably very small.

I suspect a lot more of the capacity goes to waste because people will get 5 spots even though they may only need 2, 3 or 4 (because "maybe we bring grandma with us" or "maybe junior will bring a friend") - and they end up using just 2, 3, or 4. Once you book 5 spots, you can't really change that and, even if you could, there's no way for other owners to get those spots after the general registration date passes. This, to me, seems like a much bigger loophole that causes many available spots to go to waste.

I’m still a little confused on this— we are double Y card owners and it looked like we could have registered for both DHS and DCA, but I didn’t ever see any communication from Disney and didn’t complete the registration for DCA because I didn’t want to break any rules.

Is it one per Y membership or one per Y membership but must be booked in separate names?

You would only be able to get two in the same season if it’s a different membership with a different guest.

We have three memberships with different owners….my kids being on august.

He could register for an event use an owner of the Aug UY, and I could do it for one of the others.

Unless the rules are different now you enter membership first, then I think it’s looking at membership first, and then owner. But, not sure.
